I've been waiting for that beta for too lang now. Hoping it's an early christmas present!
Agree on the insecurity issue, disagree on the 400$ PC comparison.
Even if you'll never play a game, you'll have a more expensive pc. I don't know any console owner who doesn't have a pc that costs (or cost in the past tense) more than 400$. If you wanna compare, build a pc that costs the price of your console and your pc/laptop combined.
But that's if you wanna compare, which you don't, because it's stupid (too many variables, dif...
I still don't get what is wrong with a noob review. It's just a different perspective, who cares about the metacritic rating, it never made me like a game more or less. All this 'voting their site down' sounds a lot like fans being fans.
This is valuable for players new to racing games, and frankly there should be a site dedicated to just this. Anyone up for starting noobreviews.com?
I feel like that's kinda the point to the review. If you're looking for an accessible racing game, Gran Turismo sucks. If you're not into it, it's boring. If you're getting to know football (soccer) games, you start out with fifa, not football manager. If you're getting to know rpg's, you wouldn't want to start with Dark Souls.
This is a good review, don't bash it just because the game isn't for her. Games shouldn't only be reviewed...
Keeps surprising me that so little people use the argument that if you choose a console, most people still need a basic pc (for work, downloading, checking the news or their social media). Therefore, a consolegamer buys a console and a cheap pc every 6 years, while a pc gamer buys an expensive pc and upgrades it after three or four years.
The console option will still be cheaper in hardware (400 + 400 + more expensive games vs a 1000 dollar pc and a 300 dollar upgrade), but w...
Thanks, unfortunately it's too late to edit it, but at least it's corrected in your reply.
Please stop building pc's for the price of a next-gen console. The comparison doesn't make sense. All gamers who have a nextgen console have a pc or laptop that probably costed them 500 dollars or more. You don't build a pc just for gaming, you should add the price of a console to the pc you would buy anyway, and then you can compare.
* what's the past tense for to cost? is it even a verb?
The scene with Triss was well done, and it had a good build-up, I'll certainly grant you that.
Bashing all Bethesda games seems a little bit overkill to me. Morrowind was the ultimate gateway game into rpg's for me and many others. And the Shivering Isles was an expansion that puts nearly all dlc to shame (it also put Oblivion to shame).
That said, I did feel more like a tourist in beautiful Skyrim than an actual player.
Witcher 2 wasn't exactly focusing more on a relationship than on sex now was it? The scenes with prostitutes didn't have any other function than wasting your orens and there were characters that offered you sex as a thank you.
I mean it was a step forward from DA but still, I feel the witcher series needs to take a step forward as well. No more 'You helped me out, let me thank you in the sack' storylines, ever.
No need for political rants, thank you very much. This isn't n4p (newsforpoliticians) or n4gu (newsforgunowners. Hell this site isn't even strictly for Americans. Most people here aren't even Americans.
So 54 comments and no one has pointed out that realism and ethic boundaries have less to do with how the models look, but how they behave and react.
If a game let's you get to know a character, that is complex like a human being, so that you build up some kind of bond with it and then makes you kill it to achieve a goal...
I mean, build me a real life puppet that looks just like a human being and I'll shoot it in the face for a dollar. Build me an ug...
All versions have the option to switch to topdown isometric view. Confirmed in the footage of PAX.
You can play it exactly like DA:O, pause the game, position characters, hand out orders. You do no longer need to do the consoley-action-combat (but you can if you're into that). Thereby they please both those who thought DA2 was an improvement combat-wise, and those who wanted to drown those who implemented that in acid.

the first and only important thing that needs to happen is fixing latency
you're dissing pc fanboys, but you're just as bad.
Don't be that guy, you can do better.
yes, because if you don't like what I like, you must be a child.
Not everyone needs to like the same things, don't be typical intolerant commentbashers.
Who could be rude to a console owner when they had so much fun on their friends consoles with late-night fifa sessions and all-night halo competitions. Consoles have earned their keep in my book.
I am a pc gamer :).
I just think games should distinguish themselves. Sure, the consoles have made a whole new range of genres or changes within genres possible, because of the controller versus the keyboard-mouse, and because of the introduction of co-op gaming but these things trickle back to the other platforms. PC's have controllers now. The Wii's motion thing brought about changes in the xbox and PS.
People will make the best game they possibly can, whet...
If there are 14 games that I will enjoy more than TW3 in 2014, it'll be the best year in gaming I've experienced yet.
