I don't think PS3 and "best line up" even go together in the same sentence.
You may be jumping the gun a little bit. As games get larger, MS may require an HDD for some games, like they should have done in the first place.
Because it's not on the Wii.
Please tell me that Li'l Jimmy Norton plays one of the pedophiles. That would be F'ing hilarious.
Having a non-standard HDD was a mistake. I hope the next Xbox has a standard HDD and built in WiFi.
In my opinion, if you don't want to pay extra for a hard drive for a next gen system, then you have no business owning one in the first place. If you don't care about saving your games or any of the other features that an HDD allows, then go buy an SNES or a Genesis.
And I'd rather buy a PS3 than a Wii. Hey, at least we agree on something :-D.
By the way, am I the only one who doesn't think that the 360 and PS3 should come out with gimmicky Wii-mote ripoffs?
You couldn't find a more recent example than Oblivion? Wasn't there a full year's time to improve upon the 360 version?
Going by the way many Sony fans have spoken on this board, if something sells more, than it's better. PS2 sold more than Xbox, so it must be better, right? Does this mean that the 360 version of GTA IV is better?
See how dumb that logic is? Higher sales don't translate into something being better.
On a different note, if final sales are more on the 360, does that mean that GTA will be more recognized as a MS brand rather than Sony?
I'll take the version that doesn't look like you're playing with 20/40 vision, thank you very much. Oh yeah, and I'll take it for the downloadable content too.
Unless you're really finicky, it doesn't matter too much if a game's native res. is 640P. Thanks to upscalers, they'll look great. It happened with Halo 3, and now it's happening with GTA IV on the PS3.
Although it is a bit ironic how people were calling the 360 weak for running its biggest game in native 640P, but being upscaled to 1080P. Now the shoe is on the other foot. But instead of gloating...I'm here to say that it doesn't really matter at all. It will still look ama...
Exactly, like I would EVER listen to Fox News for a video game review. They are completely misinformed on video games, and everything else for that matter. After the Mass Effect fiasco, I have no respect for those holier-than-thou retards.
I am a proud Christian. Jesus himself said, "Let what is mine be unto me, let what is Caesar's be unto Caesar", meaning let religion and politics be separate. Jesus was very wise, he knew that FORCING RELIGION ON PEOPLE CAUSES RES...
You should be a writer for David Letterman!
Please oh please let this not be a widespread problem. At least not on the 360, screw the PS3 :-D. Joking of course, relax. It would truly suck to be waiting and waiting for this game, only to have it freeze up on you. It's like being the kid at Christmas who can't play with his new toy because daddy forgot to buy batteries. You have it, and it just sits there and taunts you.
Gears 2 will own Resistance 2, just like Gears 1 owned Resistance 1.
Sorry, sorry, I guess I should've put "in my opinion" after the superior controller comment. Yeah, in my opinion (better?), the 360 controller is superior. It's way more ergonomically correct and feels better in the hands. I have never had a Sony console. I can understand why people who are used to using the PS controller for 3 gens now prefer it.
DomUltra, all of the reasons I listed regarding why I would rather have the 360 version over the PS3 version are legitim...
WRONG! COD 4 was the same on both, DMC4 looked better and scored higher on the 360, and GTA 4 looks a little better on the PS3. Most other games like The Orange Box, Assassin's Creed, etc. are better on the 360.
Even if the PS3 version of GTA IV looks and performs slightly better, I'd still rather play the 360 version because of achievements, the superior controller, all of my friends will play it on Live, and the exclusive DLC in the fall. Not to mention, future updates can he...
In a recent interview, I believe in GameInformer, they said that MS will allow the GTA DLC to exceed the normal file size. MS has a case by case policy when determining if something is special enough to warrant exceeding the max. file size for a download - and in this case it does. For 50 million, Rockstar won't give MS crap. The DLC will rule, but that's a long way off. I'm just excited for Tuesday.
I guess I would gloat if 95% of multiplatform games were better on the PS3 and then FINALLY one comes that's SLIGHTLY prettier on the 360. Oh, but then again, 360 fans will be gloating when the DLC kicks ass this fall. Not to mention, future updates can fix any slight issues.
^^^^^^^^ Your name made me do a double-take. You've got balls man.
OK, Sony fans can finally stop downplaying the DLC. It's going to be awesome.
