A stupid American hero? Marcus Pheonix is what a video game hero is supposed to look like. All of the heroes in Jap games look like they're trying to be cover models, with long flowing hair. They look like sissies.
They're high-res, but the problem is they're high-res magazine scans, so the quality of the pics are aren't going to be top notch.
That's cool, not everyone is going to have the same gaming tastes. I for one love the GoW gameplay. I'll take shooters that involve seeking cover and popping and shooting over "run 'n gun" any day.

Gears 2 will blow anything to date out of the water, except for KZ2 - and it will be right on par with KZ2. The environment textures will be better on Gears.
Most games made are third party, multiplatform games. It's nice to know that your console of choice plays them better than the competition.

Looking at some of the PS3 pics made me feel like I had 20/40 vision. And I couldn't help but wonder where some of those shadows and other details were in some of the PS3 shots. The 360 is clearer and has better texture virtually all of the time.

COD 4 looks roughly identical on both. It has better textures on the 360, as does DMC4.

I think 90 minutes is a little overkill. A lot actually. I know, I know PS3 fans, it's impressive that the BluRay can pull this off, I know. Don't get your panties in a bunch. I'm just saying that it's too long to interrupt the gameplay. Even if you can skip them, you're missing the storyline if you do.
I'm not saying don't get the game. If you have a PS3, you should absolutely get this game. It's almost a requirement.
HOV and FF2 were never supposed to be AAA games. But the point to my post were that all systems have crappy games on them, and most have an amazing game here and there.
Well when you go by things that game developers have said in the past in terms using the 360's memory compared to the PS3's, there is validity to the RAM argument.
I think this game would've appealed more to Sony's audience. It's very Jappy.
If the Wii was next gen, then it would've cost more to make. If it cost more to make, then it would've had a higher market entry price and may not have been profitable from the start (like the 360 and PS3). If it had a higher market entry price, then it wouldn't appeal to all of those casual gamers and wouldn't sell as much.

People don't want to admit that both consoles do things right that the other does not. This is something that the 360 does right that PS3 does not. Just like the fact that it's easier to program for, and it has better RAM.
The PS3 has BluRay, is built for longevity and has built in WiFi and HDD. They can both learn from one another for future generations.
