This game is slowly becoming a myth. There's almost a mystique being built around this game.
Everyone keeps throwing around the word "masterpiece". I hope this game isn't a disappointment. Sometimes it can be very difficult to live up to this much hype. I won't get to play it unless it comes to the 360, but nevertheless, I hope it's as good as everyone is expecting it to be.
Many people would like to get a 360, but can't justify paying $400 for a console. Those of us who were able to put out that kind of money for a console should consider ourselves lucky. Not everyone can do that these days.
The PS2 proved that $199.99 is a sweet spot for console sales. The closer they get to that, the more each console will sell. I think that rule applies to most items. More iPhones will be sold when the price goes down. Same with next-gen DVD players and any...
What if I told you the article was written by David Letterman?
EDIT: I can't believe that I have to tell you that it's a joke. Letterman has a top ten list every night on the Late Show.
That was a HUGE overlook! No one guessed that achievements would take off like they did. It's cool to be able to compare achievements with your friends on games that you've both played. That's one of the coolest things about the 360 too...you and your friends can all see exactly what games you've played/are playing, and what you have achieve in the game!
Your Sean Connery avatar was better.
Welcome to the dark side my friend. You will love it...the best the gaming world has to offer!
I want the game because I am a fan of the series, but I don't like it enough to get the PS3 because of one exclusive that appeals to me. I don't care about the 360 "robbing" the PS3 of yet another exclusive. I just want play the game, and I'm sure many other Xbox fans feel the same. If it ever comes to the 360, then great, I'll get it. If it doesn't, well then I'll have plenty of other AAA titles to choose from.
I think MGS4 may go to the 360, but I don't think it will be announced at E3. Konami may be holding out to see if the PS3 install base increases. For business reasons, it would only make sense to see the game become available to 360 owners. Then again, it would only make sense for every single game to be multiplatform, so we'll have to wait and see.
You'll see a spike in 360 sales as well when they officially announce a price cut. We already saw a spike when they just announced a 3 year warranty. It'll be interested to see what happens when they announce the price cut. Halo 3 and Mass Effect, should help spike sales as well. When MGS4 comes out, the PS3 will have another spike in sales too.
Will PS3 offer: Bioshock? Mass Effect? Halo 3? The superior version of most 3rd party games? A superior game library and live service over the competition? A 3 year warranty? No, no, no, no, no, no and last but not least...no.
That would be sweet. Then there would be no more flame wars, and we could all get high and play in harmony.
They should make their price cut coincide with Labor Day. It's easy to remember, and it would give people time to get their 360's before Halo 3 comes out. Or they could just make it ASAP, that would work too.
Whatever they do, they need to make sure that the world knows about it.
LOL, was that the Wii version?!? Seriously though, it's hard to believe how far videogames have come.
Mine works just fine plugged into a surge protector. I think people would be a fool not to plug in any expensive electrical equipment into a surge protector. If your 360 or any other device didn't work because it was plugged into a surge protector, then something was wrong with it in the first place. Exchange it for one that works.
I think the 1800% was a typo, it only says 400%. Wow, I didn't even think the news of that warranty would spike sales by 100%. This is a great thing for Microsoft!
Nintendo has some great games, but I think that they make too many shiny, happy games. That's boring.
I look at the great mature games coming out on 360 and PS3, then I look at Wii games like Cooking Mama: Cook Off and laugh.
I had a GameCube last gen. I loved the system and I got to play possibly my most favorite game ever on it, RE4. When I first got GC, I was more into platformers like Mario, or adventure, like Zelda. Somewhere along the way, I "grew up&...
Here's the easy answer:
A cheaper PS3 = more sales
A cheaper 360 = more sales
Target must be having a really tough time moving PS3 consoles.
Like it or not, Microsoft is in the videogame race for the long haul. They've had successes and setbacks, like anyone else. The 360 is doing poorly in Japan, because of brand loyalty, and the fact that Microsoft is probably out of touch with Japanese culture. They are gaining ground though, even if it is ever so slowly.
Here in the states, the 360 is a massive success. They are currently # 1, and won't be outsold by the PS3 here anytime soon. With a price cut (probably) and H...
Hitman and especially Condemned kicked ass. Go get Gears of War, Oblivion and Rainbow Six: Vegas if you want some great 360 games. I don't believe you though. I definitely don't think you have a 360, because if you did, you would love it.
Nothing says "smooth" like Sean Connery. And I mean that in the straightest way possible.
