Sometimes parents do all that they can, and their children snap anyway. Then again, it sounds like the child may have been very spoiled, but we'll never know. What we do know is that it's not video games that made the child kill his brother. It was the sons own insanity.
Look at Chris Benoit for example. I'm sure his parents were very loving and encouraged him to follow his dreams. Years later, he murders his wife and kills his son with a hold similar to the Crippler Cross...
Most of the disc scratching incidents have most likely occurred when owners who didn't know what they were doing moved the console from vertical to horizontal or vice-versa during operation. It says in the manual not to do that.
I'm sure there were some bad disc drives though. I know that my first disc drive in my 360 made some funny noises sometimes, and it always gave me a "disc read error". Never once did it scratch anything though. Luckily, Microsoft fixed it fr...
What are we, a bunch of whiny hippies? Keep the homo comments coming! You should never be afraid to say something because you might "offend" someone. They are only words.
ElementX, I think that you a cool guy, judging by your posts, but it's not worth your while to let something like that offend you. Life is too short, and everywhere you go, you are going to find people who are annoying or who you disagree with.
Gears of War was just about the perfect game, although I do agree that it would've been better if you were aloud to save multiple campaigns on one gamer account. Maybe they can include that in the sequel.
Nintendo has to many gimmicky games, many of which get terrible reviews. Don't get me wrong, the Wii has and will continue to have amazing games...however I feel that I have outgrown them. I'm not interested in playing Mario this or Mario that (unless it's a real Mario game).
I would take the game lineup of the PS3 and especially the 360 over the Wii any day.
I definitely think BluRay will beat HD-DVD, however I don't think BluRay is necessary for next gen games. Look at Oblivion. It's long enough. I don't want anything bigger than that, for the sake of my attention span.
I realize more space allows for better graphics as well, but the graphics for the two systems looks to remain roughly equal if not the slight edge going to the 360 thus far. Compression techniques are also getting better. DVD9 is fine for running games this g...
Wargasm, I know man, I know. I usually don't do that, but when a retard like him calls every single person who bought a 360 a loser, he deserves it.
I prefer the 360 way over the PS3, but I don't think that people who get PS3s are stupid. The PS3 is an awesome system. We all have our preferences. Some of us know that, others apparently don't.
Marinelife - no I'm not Petey. Sorry. You forgot the fourth kind of 360. The one that works the way it should. I ha...
At least they are taking responsibility and not waiting for a class action lawsuit like other videogame companies. Not all 360's are faulty. If my 360 breaks down though, I know that Microsoft will take care of it for me.
The 360 brings gamers together more than any other console. Losers like yourself can't recognize that. You'd rather sit and play your mediocre games by yourself. Have fun waiting until 2008 for anything worth playing that hasn't already been out in its su...
Yes, because a timed exclusive is something to get upset about, especially when there are plenty of AAA titles already coming out to choose from. Buying a $600 system and have to wait so long for decent games would give me a meltdown. The difference for 360 fans is we don't have to wait for AAA titles. Hopefully UT won't come out in the Spring. Us 360 fans will be too busy playing the extra content released for GTA IV.
No one can poke fun at the 360 about game selection and ...
I don't think that any Xbox fan is happy that it is coming out later. For me personally, it's just not a big deal that it is a timed exclusive, with all of the other games that are coming out, and ones that already are out that I haven't gotten to yet. Like I said, as long as it gets to the 360 at some point in time, then all is well.
I was worried there for a sec when I read the title. But since UT3 will just be a timed exclusive, that's fine by me. The 360 lineup for fall is already stacked as it is. I won't possibly have enough time to beat all of the games that I want to. As long as UT3 is just a TIMED exclusive and not a FULL console exclusive, like say, Gears of War is for the 360, then everything is fine. They can take that extra time and make little enhancements for the game, so that the 360 version is the defi...
It looks like a winner. Old-school Bomberman has always been a blast and this one will be no differ...wait a minute. Did I just say that Bomberman has always been a blast? HA HAHAHAHAHAHA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Wow, I crack myself up.
Doesn't bother me. The 360 lineup is so unbelievably stacked, that we don't need it. It's just one game. It'll be an AAA title, and I want it on the 360, sure. But if it doesn't get there, no problem. Money talks though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it on a 360 by 2009.
I can agree that they should've shown games coming out next year, but the fact that they could fill up 75 minutes on games that you'll be able to play by Christmas is very impressive. It's human nature to want to be surprised, so I can understand that. Maybe they could've shown something on Halo Wars or 2 Days to Vegas, or whatever is set to make an impact in 08. However, I think it's not hard to see that in terms of blockbuster power, the 360 will be extremely difficult to beat in the fore...
Thank goodness it's confirmed for 360. The one game I am most excited about for the new generation is not Halo 3, not MGS4, not Mass Effect or GTA IV, but Resident Evil 5. It will be a masterpiece that you can enjoy on both the 360 and the PS3.
Typing in all caps is annoying. So is typing useless banter.
Some people on this thread are saying that they had a weak showing. What more did you want? They showed upcoming blockbuster after blockbuster in the games department, with lots of in-game play. The lineup is so stacked, that every game they showed is coming out THIS YEAR (except for RE5). Let's see the other two match that.
Were you expecting a handheld system? Are you disappointed because of no MGS4 tattoo? Did you expect giant crabs and Riiiiiidge Racer? No company is ...
I thought the gray 360 was weak. However, they made up for it with the strongest game lineup you will see this year, possibly any year. I was very happy to hear that Alan Wake is still in the works and extremely happy that the rumors of Resident Evil 5 possibly being a PS3 exclusive were put to rest.
I'm surprised that there were no new tattoos. I had heard rumors that Peter Moore was going to show an MGS4 tattoo on his left buttock.
I can't wait for Mass Eff...
I predict that there will also be a Mario sequel in the future.
I hope Campfire doesn't get an AO rating.
The ratings are right there on the box. Any game with any rating should be able to be sold in any store. A store attendant should be required to get games rated M and AO for you and should have to see I.D. to sell it to you. That way, everyone wins, except for kids too young to buy those games.
