Sony was the one who took advantage of the developers. Rumor has it that last gen, they strong armed developers into making games look relatively the same on the PS2 and the graphically superior Xbox if they wanted to develop for their system.
Before MS made the 360, they consulted numerous developers and asked what they would like in their next console. The result is a system that's easy to develop for, allowing developers to get the most out of the system. That, combined wit...
"Microsoft had been selling an HD DVD drive for its Xbox, but sales were very disappointing," he claims. "Its HD content download service has been achieving strong commercial gains by comparison."
-- Well duh. I think most people, like myself, suspected that the superior BluRay format would win all along, so who would invest in a player for the losing format? On the other hand, the 360's download service offers a great selection, is quick, easy, and cheaper t...
That picture is what you would get if Bruce Willis had sex with an owl.
From what I hear, Vista is a resources hog, and there are still quite a few compatibility issues. I've had good experiences with Vista (from what little I've used it), but I've only used Vista when it has been pre-installed on new computers. I hear that if you try to upgrade to Vista on your existing computer, that it can cause problems.
MS is already working on their next OS. Possibly even more exciting, Google is developing their own OS! I'm very pro Google. I love their s...
Well at least MS is good at one thing...convincing Sony exclusives to go multiplatform. Gotta love all of that money...
Ladies, ladies...There's no need for anyone to get out of a forum or to shut up. The whole game here is to make your point better than the people who disagree with you.
Firefox is definitely the best browser ever. I wouldn't use anything else.
It can install Windows, yet it can't make games look or run better than the 360. It hurts because you know it's true.
If you love your PS3 so much, then go play it more and quit trashing the 360. The PS3 is closer to a computer than the 360 is, and that's great. However, the 360 is the gamer's console. Games perform better on the 360, even without installation.
Not to mention, there a library of hundreds of movies ready to download instantly - no going to the store. Today when guests come over for Easter, we'll have the luxury of choosing through hundreds of titles if we want to watch a mov...
There's nothing to spin. If I thought the PS3 version looked better, I'd say it. It does look a little brighter, but then again, most of the PS3 games are a little brighter than the 360 counterparts. However most of the 360 version of games have sharper graphics and better textures, not to mention faster framerates.
These two look pretty identical to me though. Some games will look better on the PS3, such as Oblivion and possibly UT3, and others, such as just about every other...
The PS3 fanboys are WAY worse. If anything remotely bad is said about the PS3, you get disagrees for the sake of disagrees. Even if you say a fact that everyone knows is true, you will get disagrees. It's almost as if they have nothing of value in their lives and they're holding on to one last ounce of happiness. So sad. Oh yeah, and they have a habit of saying something and then ending their post with "MWAHAHAHAHAA" or "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH A". Fantastic.
Does the PS3 section of this website have a sign that says "Welcome Retards"? It wouldn't surprise me, because you all seem to flock here.
For the record, the PS3 is awesome, but you guys blindly think that it's superior to everything in every single way. It's like you worship it. It's just a console. Once the PS4 comes out, you'll forget about it.
Geek.
"PS3 just killed the 360 in this graphics contest."
Are you blind? They look the same, except for slight color differences. If anything, the fact that the 360 version has achievements, a better framerate and supports two more people in multiplayer than the PS3 does makes it the definitive version.
From looking at the video alone, the only thing I noticed is that the color is slightly different. Whereas a piece of metal may appear more gray on the 360, it seems to have a slightly orange/brown tint on the PS3.
Critics have said that the PS3 is slightly better, while the 360 has a slightly better framerate. Whatever, this game is awesome. They improved upon the already awesome control scheme (you can sprint now) and the way you rank up. If you liked the first one, you'll ...
@ Bender - Explain why liking MS over Sony is like supporting Nazis. You are an F-ing retard.
"Sorry it isn't a medium in which you can exploit with your own patented technologies for purposes of greedily acquiring all of the profit..." --
Uh, that was Sony's plan, by FORCING you to buy a BluRay player if you wanted to play video games on their system. Sony either did that because they truly care about you, or because they want your money. Which do you think it was? Go ahead, I'll give you a second to think...EXACTLY, Sony are greedy bastards that want your ...
If the 360 had built in HD-DVD, then it most definitely would be winning the console war.
Would've, could've, should've, however. It's for the best. BluRay is the superior format. Next generation, when there will be a greater need for higher capacity discs, everyone will be glad that we're using BluRay discs, which can store more than HD-DVD discs. Ah, if only we could use HVD discs, which hold up to 3.9 terabytes. That'll be the day...
If they were smart, they would continue to make and sell HD-DVD players for dirt cheap and make up the sales with software.
