The people who cry "racist" over these games:
A) Don't take into account the geographic region that the games take place in;
B) Don't take into account the historical time and mood of the game;
C) Most likely don't know very much about the game they're criticizing except for second and third hand accounts;
D) Are annoying sissies who'd rather see games sacrifice any ounce of realism so that nobody's "feelings" get hurt. ...
I'm sure they were trying to reflect the mood at the time. Most people would've said "chink", and believe it or not, "Chinaman" was not considered racist back then. In today's over-sensitive sissy world, it is.
I have respect for games like that and Medal of Honor (which uses the term "Gerry's" and "Japs") that don't sacrifice historical accuracy just to please a bunch of whiny-overly sensitive-ultra liberal sissies.

Metal Gear is a great game, and I hope all of the PS3ers enjoy it. If I ever get a PS3 one day, it'll be among the first games that I buy for it. To be honest though, I'm busy with so many other great games on my Xbox, that I won't really miss it.
And I'm sure that lots of casual gamers will buy this without doing an ounce of research. Poor saps.
The Wii is amazing. It has such high sales for only a few great 1st party games. The rest is mostly mediocre at best.
One of the two HD consoles is definitely the way to go.

I've never played one of the Lego games before, but maybe I'll check it out. The Lego Star Wars games look kind've cool, but I haven't gotten around to them just because that there are other games that I've wanted to play more.

Wrong. COD 4 looks the same. I haven't looked at Burnout shots, so I can't comment on those. If you look at stills from DMC4, the 360 version is sharper and has better textures.
I like the 360 better, yet I will not disagree with you because I truly believe that you will be getting this for the PS3, and that is that.
Yeah, the GamePro article is one of those that try to pass off opinion as fact. The fact is, the author had her preference, and there's nothing wrong with that. But to try to pass it as anything other that opinion is wrong.
Many multiplatform games have come to look slightly better and run slightly smoother on the 360. Not to mention, many people prefer the 360's controller over that of the PS3.

So what you're saying is that how quickly a console sells determines its quality? The PS3 can sell 10X as fast, but that won't make its games look better and run smoother than the 360's. Sorry buddy.

The military has been using the 360 controller for awhile. There is a reason that they use the 360 controller. It's more ergonomically correct, so it feels more natural in the hands. This is a big reason why I chose the 360 over the PS3 (along with games more suited for my tastes). The 360 controller is simply better in every aspect, except for the D-pad.
I'm sure the military considered other controllers. The fact that they chose the 360 controller speaks for itself.

There is definitely a double standard. We're still paying for slavery even though most white people today know that it was a terrible, often barbaric thing. There is still a sense of white guilt, and it needs to go away.
Personally, I wish slavery never happened, but I can't feel an ounce of personal guilt for something that happened over a century before I was born. It's true that race relations were bad even into the 1960's, however we as a country have to look to the future...
