I don't see where you are coming from here. Halo 3 is awesome, but when showing off the 360's graphical power, that's not a game I would point to, as opposed to Gears of War, or Call of Duty 4.

We've all heard the word "potential" as soon since before the PS3 came out. The 360 still has the slightly better graphics. The PS3 may pass it eventually, but the two consoles will always remain on par with each other; the PS3 will never blow the 360 away in terms of graphics.
After Alan Wake and GOW 2 come out, people will know that the 360 still has the graphics edge, at least for this year.

I think the best looking game so far is COD 4, and they look the same for both systems. I don't think any exclusives have beaten it so far.
There's a new GOW 2 video on Xbox Live right now that shows off some features of the new Unreal Engine. It looks pretty sweet. I wouldn't be surprised to see GOW 2 eclipse all. Of course, Resident Evil 5 is looking pretty sweet too.
As of right now, the 360 still has the edge graphics-wise.
I don't see either company leaving the console business within the next two generations. They are both here to stay...the way it should be. However, if another company, such as Apple or EA decide to make a console, then things could get interesting.
RE4 was the best game last gen, and RE5 will be the Main Event this gen.
Boy, I sure am glad that Resident Evil is one of the many former PS3 exclusives that now also appear on Xbox. :-D

The GOW 2 teaser that has been previously shown was meant to build hype and nothing more. Epic is playing it smart. They're slowly creating a buzz and building anticipation.
I predict that we won't see any real footage until E3. At least that's what I would do. Tease it, but don't reveal too much until E3, that is.

Halo 3 multiplayer is awesome, COD4 multiplayer is awesome, but Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 multiplayer pwns all.
It could be a sign of our economic times. The dollar doesn't hold up as much as it used to these days, so people go for the bargain buys. I would personally never buy the losing format, especially if it's already dead, but financially, I can see why others would.
I've played Heavenly Sword in GameStop on Sony own HD display. Lots of jaggies. It's nothing that the 360 can't do. I've seen video of the other two you mentioned. Again, nothing the 360 can't do.

It can be a little noisy when you're running the disc drive. However when you turn up the volume you don't even notice it.
When watching a downloaded movie, you are not using the disc drive, so it's pretty quiet.
