How much of that $40 is the cartridge? How much more would it cost to have 16gb cards? Without these answers the price of a 3DS cart is irrelevant (they could be making it for $1 or $39).
My friend paid over £95 ($150) for at least 2 of his N64 titles. At the time PS2 games were £35-£40. There were more expensive games for the N64 system that my friend didn't buy, the most expensive was £120 ($200) after taxes.
"Welcome to the next step in game price hikes"
CD's cost pennies to manufacture, cartridges cost pounds.
Nintendo stopped using cartridges when Nintendo 64 games started costing up to 3-4 times the price of disk based games.
She should just shut up and stop claiming credit for other people's work.
Why show her face now? It's not classy at all.
The game gets rave reviews and praise from all corners and suddenly an ex employee turns up wanting a share of the limelight.
It doesn't look very dignified to say the least.
Whatever the real reason it appears from the outside to be either a case of sour grapes or a massive ego, she should hav...
I don't have a 4k TV and therefore don't require an upgraded PS4. Others may feel differently (I know how some are obsessed with resolution).
I won't feel cheated if they release an upgrade as it doesn't offer me anything I need. I really don't see what the fuss is about.
If you have a 4k TV then you have the option to upgrade to a higher resolution, if you don't, why worry?
C64 was a beast, so much better than gaming on SNES ( which was seen as a lame mass market toy by established gamers at the time).
C64 was the golden age of gaming for me. The technology was poor but the creative vision and ambitiousness of some of the titles was way beyond the safe decisions today's publishers make.
So if it launched in April it would have been a flop?
A "once a year" event is generally referred to as annual. These old wrestling games are generally stone, paper, scissors mechanics
Well the business model and concept are unsuccessful failures, as demonstrated by the sales figures.
@Dirkdady
When Microsoft opens up to "other platform holders" who do you think they mean? There are a very limited amount of platforms out there.
@GamerfromOz
He's saying that he has no loyalty to a brand and is independently capable of making a choice based on his own research without being influenced by outside forces such as wanting to game with friends playing on a particular console.
^^^Because its from Mad Catz who are a third party hardware manufacturer. They don't care who sells the most as they sell peripherals for both companies.
They band the figures together because they are their potential customer base.
They launch it complete then continue to improve upon it after launch with new optimisation techniques and game engine updates.
WHAT A RIP-OFF!!!/s
It's not that big a loss and would soon switch to profit when production costs are lowered.
Sony usually sells its consoles at a loss in the first year or two, it makes them more money in the long run because of deeper market penetration and mindshare.
@ArmchairAnalyst
Why does that apply to $500 and not more?
Also $500 is about the price of a new phone contract (which is probably the most common form of finance available).
People paying a monthly phone contract aren't doing so because they are broke but because it is more convenient to do so (and often the only available option).
I predict it will cost less than $5k.
@Scotty
Wrong!!!! Latest steam stats show the vast majority of gaming PC's can't run 1080 @ 60 with full graphics. They are no more powerful than PS4 (read the stats for people actually playing games and you'll find I'm correct).
So less than 10% of PC users can play 4k games and the vast majority of PC gamers can't play 1080p @ 60 f/s with full graphics.
This proves what I have been saying for a long time that most gaming PC's are no more powerful than XB1 or PS4.
PC elitists may now eat humble pie and apologise for your mocking of my factual statements (yeah right).
@Waluigi
Why? Do you flip flop on your "opinion" depending on how popular it is?
# Just got to disagree with CD's being better than 8 track, the old analogue/digital argument rises its ugly head.
When you are a public figure, you have to be aware of how your actions appear to the public.
She may have every justification under the sun to feel pissed off, but her decision to make a noise about it now is just bad judgement on her behalf.
You may know the ins and outs of the story, but most don't and the way she comes across to those people is a bit sad and desperate (not my view necessarily).
A statement or interview a month or two down ...
