No, in reality. The vast majority of PC gamers don't have up to date rigs, the average is below that of XB1, statistics on steam confirm that.
A tiny percentage of PC gamers actually own the kind of killer rig that everybody brags about on N4G.
He's talking about the average gaming PC which statistics show to be less powerful than PS4/XB1.
A triple-A title would never court 4k resolution on current consoles, it isn't an issue.
It isn't about whether you prefer stable 1080 or choppy 4k, its whether Sony/Microsoft allow games that don't push the hardware to render at 4k (if there is enough headroom left when the game is finished).
Nobody was expecting that, did you read the article?
If the 30 million PS4 owners felt so strongly about the game, the stretch goals would have been reached, easily.
The vast majority are unwilling to fund this game so if Sony were to use PSN subscriptions it would be far from "for the gamers".
New stretch goal:
If they receive a further 2 million, the main character gets a left leg (otherwise he just hops everywhere).
Another 500k and they will use coloured graphics.
No, that's dead easy to do, I built a superior online infrastructure last Saturday for fun, if Sony would use a team of professionals instead of leaving the tea boy to do it in his lunch break, there wouldn't be any problems. /s
The trouble with Nintendo is they are as tight as a fly's butt hole and insist on making money on hardware from day one.
The PS3 would have cost well over a thousand dollars at launch had it been made by Nintendo.
...
What Nintendo did right:
Gave up on video games and moved into the world of overpriced plastic dolls.
No, surely they do it for good wishes and candyfloss. Making people happy is their sole reason for existing but they are forced to charge you money by 'The Man' (against their will of course).
Don't worry though, I'm pretty sure that they found a loophole in the law that permits them to plough all their profits into wayward bunny rehabilitation and other fluffy animal charities.
At least that's my take on why people make games, I could be ...
Phil Spencer would be "utterly devastated" to have the hugely popular and massively profitable Nintendo games on XBoxOne./s
Tecmo knew it would flop in the west, that is why it is not being released here.
They know that if they say that it is due to the debate about "negative representation of women", you'll stop nagging for a release.
It has more dumb people, more smart people, more geniuses, more fools than the Xbone. It has more of everybody because its far more popular and desirable a product.
@Blackheart
Well, it doesn't actually say that at all, it says they only have the resources to focus on two platforms.
You're just relying on the fact that most people only bother to read the headlines and comments.
PSVR and Kinect are hardly on the same level when it comes to their potential impact on the gaming experience.
The fact that all the major players are releasing their solutions within a close timeframe will just boost public awareness.
The potential market for PSVR titles is vastly larger than Kinect as they can be developed for the Rift simultaneously.
It's a different stand-alone game that uses the assets of DriveClub.
If you have a problem with the value of the dlc you got with the DriveClub season pass, I suggest you leave season passes alone from now on.
@EDMIX
That's a real trailblazing attitude /s. If everyone took the "wait and see" view to new things, nothing would ever change.
Time for a publisher with balls to steal a march I think.
I'm not sure whether to buy this or a large turnip, which do you think would be more fun?
"We’re using Physically Based Rendering and other rendering technologies that don’t really run well on WiiU.'
Of course it has something to do with power.

The games are tailored to VR, they won't be the same games as you play on TV. They will be unique experiences that can only occur in VR.
There will be no other way to enjoy those experiences outside of owning a headset, which is a compelling reason to get one.
I think it has a good chance of success.
