Not lucky, just not daft. If you know a name is going to be permanent, you should pick a decent one (its not rocket science).
Anyone with a bad name deserves to keep it permanently as a punishment.
Fact is that most games over a certain age don't play on PC very well at all so "PC backwards compatibility" isn't as universal as people make out.
On a modern rig you'll have problems running a 10 y/o game and anything older will be buggy as hell. Just try running your favourite DOS game and tell me how great it is then?
Driveclub is an ongoing thing, they just need to add more modes (like bikes), maybe off road tracks and vehicles.
I personally want to race cars v bikes, I hope they can do that in the future.
It's not like a traditional game, more like an ongoing service. Evolution said before it launched that they wanted to do something different with regards to the longevity of the title.
They have got it spot on. I can't think of another game that has ever had so much studio support for so long after release (well outside of WoW type subscription games).
No, I just hate that anybody with no talent, education, literary skills or understanding can write any old crap and it gets posted.
As for bold and old, I'd still kick your ass from here to kingdom come (I assume you mean bald and not bold, they have very different meanings).
"All that much controversial"?
There should be a word for uneducated "journalists" who can't write English sentences or headlines.
I would have thought it would have sold more (would have thought the Nintendo faithful would have been all over it), I suppose there's still plenty of time.
1.8 million seems a strange number to announce. 1.75 or 2 million seem more worthy landmarks.
If its not radioactive it isn't the real deal....Law Suit!!
@Wonderful
It's not just about money. Nintendo launching another failed console after the WiiU would diminish their importance in the gaming market even further.
You can have as much money in the bank as you like, if nobody cares about your products, why continue to make them?
Nintendo have been in business for over 100 years, they have been making consoles for the past 30+ years. They have survived by changing their business model when c...
@Edmix
"We've had post launch content in gaming since we've had gaming"?
What a load of crap! Name one piece of post launch content on Atari 2600. In fact it didnt start until the mid 90's at the earliest.
Gaming started 40+ years ago, extra content was in its experimental phase 20 odd years ago. Nice try but wrong.
@Nivveki
Obviously a lot more of a clue than you do, moron.
"In all seriousness though, the one moment anyone says anything positive about the Xbox on an Xbox article, it gets 3-4:1 disagree to agree ratio."
Because they spout nonsense as fact. "CoD will sell better on X1 because people still associate it with XBox". That may seem quite rational until you look at the facts (Ghosts sold 50% more on PS).
So when people talk nonsense, without doing research and come to a false conclusion we should jus...
"Sony should give me the option to use my external HDD to install my games"
Yeah great idea, oh wait, that would make it extremely easy to hack the PS4 and use pirated software.
If you allow downloading of games via an external peripheral device, you open a portal to malicious software.
They don't use sales figures any more (they're too old fashioned or something), now they measure sales in live accounts instead (must be a nightmare ordering stock).
Congratulations Nintendo, 21 million and the bubble hasn't burst yet, quite an achievement.
I don't know what brainwashing device they use to convince people to buy this crap, but it is obviously a beast of a machine.
If English isn't your first language perhaps you should say "thank you" when someone corrects you instead of hurling abuse at them.
Then Kojima would have been in serious trouble had they decided to go ahead with the suit as he has always openly stated that the game character was based heavily on the movie.
Would he even dispute it in court? I think he has been quoted too many times to argue under oath.
The day I take advice from a moron who doesn't know the fundamentals of his own language is the day I give up on life completely.
You tried to demean people by calling them sheep, but fell flat on your face by failing in that simple task, thus making you look a bigger fool than those you mock, now you're sniping at me to hide your embarrassment, that's sooo smooth.
What was that life advice you were peddling again oh guru? Something like "duh...
@DarkOcelet
He is expressing his experiences as somebody who is not a hardcore FPS gamer.
I don't think he marked it down "because he sucks at it", in fact how has it been marked down at all?
8/10 is is hardly controversially low, it denotes an excellent title that has some niggles or flaws (in the opinion of the reviewer).
I think you're all being a bit sensitive, its not a bad score at all from someone who...
The disagrees are from people who would prefer them to keep evolving the current build rather than start a new game from scratch.
Don't all get so defensive.
