PS4 will have mods if the devs take care of security and QC. They have a premium product to maintain (unlike Xbox).
That's not the point at all though. PC games can often have their online modes destroyed by cheating (as in not worth playing at all).
Performance can be locked/adjusted between platforms but cheating kills games completely.
Keep them quarantined so they don't infect the rest of gaming.
The PC Elitist Cheatists have to appear superior even if it requires destroying their own online games to do so. That's not really a mentality that I want in gaming.
Argos is a general "catalogue store", it sells all sorts from furniture to electronics.
I don't think we have " GameStop " in the UK (not where I live anyway), we have "Game", but they have a bad rep.
Argos don't have any system in place for pre-ordering anything AFAIK.
@livecustims
It's difficult to convey sarcasm (especially in an international forum like this).
As a Brit, my instinct was to read your message as sarcasm.,. Best to use "/s" after a sarcastic comment though as it helps others.
Maybe Sony could port their Vita catalogue over? I know they won't, but it would be a phenomenal success if they did.
He settled down with MEGACHICK! and is a father to several MEGABABIES! He now lives in a suburb of Paris.
To be fair, I haven't touched Resident Evil in over a decade, but the new one looks interesting to me.
If they are trying to expand their fanbase for the series, they must be doing something right.
The old format was getting tired (and I think they were suffering from a lack of bad enough voice actors to keep the format going).
I know, it is one of my most anticipated titles.
Even if it is the best game in the series? (Not that I'm suggesting it will be).
If a game is really good, I'm not going to miss out on it because of egos and politics.
I'm pretty sure that ALL of GG's are either men or women (unless of course they have some kind of "third sex" alien amongst them).
I can see so much anticipation for this to be a huge success. I hope it is, but it is a bit early to be calling it a "mascot".
Maybe we should just wait and see how good it really is first?
@Errorist
Not even close, it was 1.11 Euro's to the pound a decade or so ago. It still has a way to go to beat that.
@DarkWolf_NZ
Remember that one console was built around "TV, TV, Sports, TV" and one was "for the gamers"?
PS4 is designed for playing games with casual multimedia functions, XB1 is designed for watching TV, sports and films with gaming taking a back seat.
It's the way they were marketed from the get go.
@Darxide
What an arrogant, conceited, pompous comment. I think you perfectly portray what Pachter is saying.
The truth is that whilst PC elitists constantly bang on about power, the average gaming PC is no more powerful than the standard PS4.
The thing with PC is you can play on a piece of shit 10 year old rig and still claim to be part of "the most powerful" format.
Those same people then talk about how ...
They went with HDMI 1.4 because 2.0a hadn't been finalised yet.
"The HDR on the Ps4 isn't real HDR anyways and no games will support the bastardized HDR format."
That isn't true, the PS4's HDR is fully 2.0a complant. It uses true HDR via hardware not software.
1.5 million? Sony have sold 3,217,591 PS4's in Japan (according to the article).
Maybe read the article first, rather than guess what it was about?
