Pro and PSVR is far more exciting than Scorpio and Occulus. Sony have put real effort into getting it just right, Microsoft have basically said "I suppose we can do that too at a pinch".

If Microsoft make everything 4k I guarantee that the Pro will look better.
Scorpio games will look exactly the same as XB1, just at higher resolution (using every ounce of extra power) whilst the Pro will be adding bells and whistles all over the place.
So yeah, I agree with you, Microsoft should make every game 4k, it would make the Scorpio a bit of a joke.

Well it is true. If you have a 3x3 grid and a 2x2 grid that you want to upscale to a 4x4 grid it is easier to do so with the 2x2 grid as it is simply a case of multiplying by 2.
If the 3x3 grid has a black, red, black sequence of squares, how can you translate that to a 4x4 grid without distortion?
You can have black, black, red, black or black, red, red, black, but neither gives an accurate representation of the original.
It doesn't, fortunately Sony didn't build its HDMI chip into the southbridge like XBOne did. It used the same chips that are now 2.0a compliant hence the easy upgrade via firmware.

Not at 4k you can't. It will take everything the machine has just to render the same graphics at the increased resolution.
It's not the same. At 4k it takes 4x as much power just to render the extra pixels. So the difference has to be far greater to offer the same benefits (it's called diminishing returns).
That means that to render the exact same image at 4k you require four times the power.
The XBOne can't often manage 1080p, so we will use the PS4's 1.8Tf as the base line. 1.8 x 4 = 7.2Tf. So theoretically it would take a 7.2Tf machine just to render a PS...
Crushed blacks was used as a term to describe the serious lack of detail in darkened areas and shadows that was very prevalent on some early Xbox One titles (for whatever reason).
I don't know about the 360 or whether it was an issue.

Except that 900p doesn't scale to 1080p properly so there are bound to be inaccuracies and artifacts in the render. The same isn't true this time around.

What damage limitation? The Scorpio hasn't been seen yet, it could be a total turd (like the X1).
Also, the plural of sheep is sheep, there is no such word as "sheeps".
Not just that but it has less of a barn door effect than the competition and they are both more expensive.
They have done far more than should be possible with the tech limitations involved.

Retarded simply means held back from reaching full development. It isn't the word or the term retarded that is offensive, it is the context.

You have some bonehead above saying that PS4 Pro looks hardly any better than XB1s (4.2 tf vs 1.3 tf). Yet suddenly if you add 1.8 tf to a Pro (Scorpio) you have the most amazingly powerful tech ever.

There aren't just 6tf PC's out there, there are far more powerful PC's that struggle with 4k.
Whatever new tech they use, they won't be delivering what they promise.

There are virtually no games that run 1080/60 on XBOne, from that you can extrapolate that there will be virtually no 4k/60 games on Scorpio.
Getting this ASAP, one of the most engaging franchises ever.
