The poor man has had to go into hiding because of the harassment he has suffered over a video game.

LG have said they will fix the issue with firmware, thus admitting fault.
They probably don't have the full set of protocols (which wouldn't necessarily show on PC), but if Sony does things differently (still within protocols), those inadequacies show up.
