It was one company's predicted figure (2.6m) which has been downgraded by the same analysts.
I doubt that Sony could even produce 2.6 million units in that time frame let alone sell them.
No doubt there will be scores of "PSVR is underperforming in sales" comments despite Sony selling more than they expected to.
750,000 is about the same as total Rift and Vive sales combined (to put it in context).
I now predict that Scorpi...
@Maniac
He said that Sony has played it safe and taken no risks since the PS3. I pointed out that they have taken more risks than Microsoft (who else was he referring to?) He is called xDealwithit so it is blindingly obvious where his loyalties lay.
It is also blindingly obvious that when one camp attacks a rival camps product's percieved weakness, it shouldn't be something that their own side is far weaker at.
It was xDealwithit who brought MS i...
But this is an Xbox One article (you know, the third best console out at the moment).
The Xbox One S is just a slim console (the standard refresh that all consoles have). It can hardly be considered something new (which is why I didn't even bother to mention PS4 slim).
MS have released nothing comparable to PSVR. And to try and belittle it as not a risky move is ridiculous. It was too risky for MS to have a crack at (or are they just too dumb to know about VR?).

Of course the X1s doesn't count as somethin...
@xDealwithit
"Sony always plays it safe and hardly takes any risks. Which is a shame ever since the ps3 they have been playing the console game as meek as possible."
So Sony (who have just launched PSVR and the Pro) are playing it safe?
I suppose Microsoft (who haven't done anything or released anything for years) are mavericks and trailblazers?
PSVR was a huge risk to take, the biggest in years. You hav...
You were saying Hello Games should die off and disband because of the initial release performance.
Surely what they are doing has to be better for the game industry?
Driveclub went on to be one of the best games this generation despite its shakey start, and now Hello Games seem to be on the right track with NMS.
So if you had your way, Hello Games would have broken up and Sean Murray would have spent the last several months doing nothin...
Many stores are open in the UK on Sunday's (some have shorter hours.
There are plenty of 24/7 larger stores too (such as Tesco).
@Irish
Talk about Lies, you aren't even Irish, you're American of Irish descent. You mislead me and all the people here.
You are a disgrace and should compensate everybody who has read what you've written. Talk about false advertising.
You couldn't get an Irish passport for love nor money.
Rant, Rant, Rant etc.
A vision of naked girls, young and old, fat and thin, tall and short? Or just schoolgirls with enormous breasts?
@Littil_Devil
Say the fake news sites in Moldova where every computer literate teenager has a fake American site making up stories about Trump and Clinton.
It's money for nothing and they are pretty clever at writing clickbait. There's some really wealthy kids there now (who would otherwise be impoverished). I watched a really interesting report on Channel 4 news.
I ask you if there were any true evidence would Trump have done a...
A Master's of the Universe doll would be great as President (So long as it wasn't Skeletor or Hordak).
You could give all his speaches in stop-motion, get the best scriptwriters and voice actors to play his sidekicks and make Castle Greyskull the new Whitehouse.
Two versions could be made so that
She-Ra (Princess of Power), would be his wife/slave for the Republican States and Beast Man his Immigrant Husband in the Democrat States.
I absolutely loved AVP, and agree that everything else on Jaguar was truly awful.
Got to love the atmosphere in this game (and the fast paced action)/s
I don't know if monopoly would transfer well to VR. /s
He has a Ferrari poster on his wall (but a Dodge mini van on his drive).
And those of us with good judgement and decisive personalities don't have to buy any old piece of crap console and choose wisely instead.
Shame you can't shoot the freak, it would be a massive worldwide hit (although probably less so in America).
Clickbait articles will always prey on the knee-jerkers (there were no complaints).
Aussies are a pretty robust people with a good sense of humour (unless you beat them at Rugby/Cricket when they lose all sense of humour and become delicate and grumpy).
Lol, you fell for the clickbait. No SJW's complained at all, but the anti-SJW's let their outrage get the better of them and fell into the trap.
Who are really the dumb ones in this scenario?
A developer producing a "must have" PSVR franchise could set themselves up for 20 years of being the top developer for the tech.
A medium sized developer will see this as an opportunity to forge their name as the new big hitter on the VR scene, potentially for decades to come.
