I agree. I always wait a while after release before purchasing a game. It gives you a chance to see how the game is received by the public and saves money as you can shop around.
I like to pay no more than £35 for any game (usually it takes a month or two to drop there). In fact, I've only pre-ordered one game this gen (Shadow of the Beast).

To be fair, if you got shot by a sniper in the head or chest, I wouldn't expect you to be much use on the battlefield.

It doesn't look that big a difference (on a non HDR 1080p screen). You won't see a big difference until you get a 4k TV (which you won't get because it looks crap on your 1080p screen, so why bother).
If you saw an HD image on an SD screen, you'd come to the same conclusion (not a big difference, not worth the upgrade).
It will be more like PS4 vs Xbox One all over again (but reversed).
I don't think Sony fans are under the impression that the Pro will be more powerful, just that it will be the better console (due to better exclusives).
I presume you own an XB1? Yet that is weaker than the PS4, so why is it OK for you to opt for the weaker console yet bad for others to do the same?

If you look at the statistics released since 2013, Sony has consistently outsold MS by at least 2:1 (in fact MS stopped releasing sales figures because of that fact).
