It isn't SJW's that look dumb here (there are no complaints), the article is clickbait and only exists so that people such as yourself get worked up about a non-event and visit the site.

The article (like so many here) is designed to wind up people like you, and it has worked extremely well.

This is not meant to be disrespectful to you (if you investigate you will find that there is zero controversy about this ad on the net).

The controversy is the invention of the author. Try looking for the actual complaints, they don't exist.

There isn't anybody, it's pure clickbait.

3483d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

It's unfounded clickbait, nobody complained.

3483d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Nobody is offended and nobody has complained (check the Internet).

This is just a form of clickbait that is more effective than most; Create an imaginary issue and say "controversy" and watch the internet light up with people being outraged that anybody could be offended.

I know, but it gives a big thrill to some people to complain about "SJW's" and how ridiculous they are (even when they aren't involved at all).

Most of these types of articles don't have any actual complaints from the public but have hundreds of posts about how SJW's are weak and pathetic and should "man up and stop complaining ".

If a company tries to avert a potential PR problem by way of a preemptive apology it gets...

I could see the problem with the Dead Rising email (I know many of you didn't), but this is nothing at all as far as I can see.

There's nothing wrong with using stereotypes, in fact it is very helpful and indeed necessary both in life and especially in media (whether to set up fast recognition of character traits or to be subverted for shock/impact).

It's only when they are poorly/lazily implemented or relied upon too much that they are a neg...

@Christocolus

Yeah, let's debut the tech we've lauded since before the release of our console right at the time we retire the thing for underperforming.

You guy's are hilarious.

@Bizarro

Yes it can be both. It is bullshit because MS knows full well that today's internet infrastructure isn't good enough to allow cloud computing for the vast majority of people.

Nobody is saying it doesn't work in theory or in a perfectly setup environment, just that out in the wild it cannot possibly work at the moment.

As it was key to their initial sales pitch, they should have shown it 2 years ago or more.

@Septic

But will it be ready before the X1 is defunct? The tech was promised for this generation, not next.

All those early comments about the cloud making the X1 4x more powerful must have swayed some into investing in Microsoft's machine, and it was an empty promise designed to distract from the fact that the rival console was much stronger.

How much has cloud tech advanced X1 gaming so far? Drivatars?

It was heavily discounted on the PS store.

Microsoft protects itself from a potential PR disaster and you see it as people being snowflakes. That's pretty ignorant if you ask me.

I'm not offended by the word (or non word), but I understand that Microsoft HAD to apologise whether they received any actual complaints or not.

You assume that there were complaints, and assume that those complaints came from a section of society that you have decided are "snowflakes".

3485d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yep, it's been blown out of all proportion (by you lot) and the people are massing for an anti-PC crusade.

3486d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

Who was offended? Microsoft apologised to anyone who may have been offended but that doesn't mean anybody was.

They made a mistake and apologised. As a result people here get their knickers in a twist and assume there's an army of people complaining about it.

Nope, just countering your ignorance.

@Lordani66

You are a retard. You are also the most OFFENDED person on this thread (or you wouldn't have reacted that way).

Just because the "Alt Right" are trying to desensitise the public to racism and bigotry to fulfill their agenda (the way the Nazis did to the German people), You don't have to jump on board and turn full fascist retard.

3486d ago 4 agree10 disagreeView comment

Such as yourself being offended by an official apology by Microsoft? You Snowflake.

3486d ago 3 agree11 disagreeView comment

No it isn't! Nobody WAS officially offended, they apologised in case they were. It's called covering your arse and happens when companies engage in PR.

The only ones offended by this are the "Anti-Political Correctness" crew who get so offended by the idea of others being theoretically offended that they start foaming at the mouth and become really offensive.

They couldn't possibly write that without realising how it could be interpreted. They are supposed to be a World leader with international interests, they shouldn't be so clumsy.

@Below

I wasn't offended, but I know for a fact that some would be. Unlike you, I don't prioritise myself over every other human on the planet, I am aware that people are different and can understand what can cause offence to people.
