I'd want to be blown away by how great it is, not reasonably pleased by its adequacy.
Xbox One S isn't a premium Xbox One, it's just a less feeble version.
"Pleased" seems like feint praise to me. If I'm buying a new console I want to be more than pleased.
The trouble is although Putin is an evil twat and scumbag of the highest order, the Russians see him as a kind of Demigod.
Everything bad that happens is blamed on a Western conspiracy and the people lap it up.
We really need someone to stand up to him soon (unfortunately it won't be Trump as he drops his trousers and bends over whenever Putin's name is mentioned).
I personally am not interested in the Scorpio at all, but the author has made a few blunders;
"There is no doubt that Microsoft’s Project Scorpio has about 6TFLOPS integrated with its GPU – that’s almost twice what the PS4 Pro currently has"
6 TFLOPS is almost twice 4.2 TFLOPS?
Do numbers change their value when FLOPS get involved?
Also, as Scorpio is likely to be released towards the end of 2017, surely what is relea...
Wtf is a "Sunday Afternoon game"? What game do you play on a Tuesday morning?
Whatever game(s) I'm playing is what I'm playing every day until I finish it or get bored.
Scalebound will flop and Xbox fans will ridicule it because it isn't a mindless shooter.
That's what Xbox gaming is all about, doing the same thing with the same IP's and the same people over and over again.
They aren't consoles for individuals which is why there is so little variety.
Not enough repetitive shooting for you?
@Youngindy
Nice to see you're happy with Microsoft's annual exclusive gesture. What do you do for the rest of the year? Do Xbox gamers hibernate until November?
Games are for life, not just for Christmas!
@G2OWLY
"Making up crap to support your Xbox is absolutely pathetic."
It's actually par for the course.
@darthv72
I was interested in the claim you made about PC's not needing HDR monitors so I had a little search and can find nothing.
I did find articles stating that Battlefield 1 would be the first PC HDR game available but you do need a HDR monitor.
I suspect it wasn't a standard HDR setting you came across but the devs own take on HDR. The colour gamut required for HDR protocols cannot be replicated on a standard monitor.
<...
It supported HDR but a tiny minority of PC gamers were capable of experiencing it.
HDR compliant monitors are as rare as hen's teeth, don't pretend it's something the PC has been doing for years, it failed to catch on on PC and is being driven by consoles now.
Yeah you should drop that XBoxOne POS as quickly as possible (I'd do the same).
@Human
Stop crying, it isn't the end of the world if it comes to PS4. You'll just have to find a different reason to justify your purchase of the inferior console.
Do you expect Capcom not to release on a platform of 50+ million users so as not to upset some sensitive fanboys?
The only way they won't release it is if they are paid substantially not to.
(Clarification: 50+m given a years wait).
He just didn't get the joke (it happens a lot around here).
You could also have worked into the joke that the Guardian (newspaper) has been struggling financially recently and is tipped by some to close down soon.
Could this be the last Guardian reviewing the last Guardian? (but it wasn't because I just visited the website).
It's not a gamesite, it's a daily national newspaper here in the UK.
I read the Guardian most days (it's been around for longer than 10 years). I don't think a dog-bird wrote it.
But the US accounts for over 1/2 of total Xbox sales and less than 1/3 of PS4 sales.
If they were selling as well as you say, why would Microsoft actively hide their sales figures?
They don't hide in the background when the Xbox does well (in the US mostly).
