They did also make the original Witcher (which was a bit poo).

Not for me, I prefer a game with a single player emphasis and a strong replayability factor.

I finished XCom 2, then went straight back in with a higher difficulty (the procedural generation of levels helps make it hugely replayable).

I haven't touched the online element. Most multiplayer modes lose too much of the feel of the real game and remind me how irritating other players invading your gamespace can be.

Why is everyone sending him Christmas presents? And why does he make them public?

Maybe he has a room full of superfluous technology that we don't know about. All donations welcome.

Because it wouldn't get talked about and act as free (or cheap ass) publicity. He is wealthy enough not to need this "gift", maybe he just chose not to buy one.

I'm sure he would have already played it on PC or PS4 if he was interested. It's been out for years ffs.

I've turned down plenty of well paid work because the working conditions aren't good.
You can't just throw more money at someone and expect them to jump on board (why do Americans think everything is about money, it's bizarre).

A great life with adequate finances or a compromised life with more money than you need, which would you choose?

I've made that decision enough times to know that money isn't THAT important (especia...

That's a really stupid comment. "Too lazy"? How about not stupid enough to take decades placing everything individually when there is no point.

Procedurally generated maps are what makes XCom2 so replayable, don't be scared of words you don't understand especially when used in a different context.

@Irish

It's a new technique, or at least a new implementation. It is designed from the ground up around the PS4 and uses proprietary technology.

You haven't seen this before, you've seen something similar, so stop faking concern .
The PS4 is designed differently to PC, it is heavily GPU focused and this tech is tailor made for it (it wouldn't even transfer well to XBOne because of the reduced shader pipelines).

Thanks for taking the time to write that informative mini review.

Not trolling, as I said before, I was never a fan of Mario, Sonic or Crash. The only platformer I have ever liked (in the modern 3D era at least), is Jumping Flash.

I remember when Crash was first released (I still have a copy), but it was hailed all over the press as Playstation's answer to Mario 64 .

I know they are very different games, that's why I love one of them and hate the other.
I've never liked Mario, Sonic or Crash, that's why I was so blown away when Jumping Flash came out.

I did try to get people hyped for a high resolution remake when Sony were asking what the fans wanted.

I'm usually in a minority with my tastes (that's why the variety you get with PlayStation titles means I'd struggle with a different co...

I'm a bit annoyed they chose this to remaster, I was never a fan of crash (although some friends were).
I still say Jumping Flash was far, far better.

Crash is a dull, linear, uninspired reaction to Mario 64. Jumping Flash is still the most inspired platformed ever (name another First Person Platformer).
The heights you could jump in First Person Perspective were truly terrifying.

@KillBill

I'm the same, Microsoft will never get a single penny from me.

It may seem petty, but they are one of the few companies I hate with a passion. I hate the way they got started, I hate the founders, I hate their way of doing business, I hate everything about them.

They represent everything I hate in a global brand. From monopolisation of the OS space to purchasing superior tech and companies just to kill off the competition ...

The self proclaimed biggest "Rock Star" on the planet. I suppose "Pop Star" whilst being more accurate is less "edgy". Biggest tw@ fits even better IMO.

I read that article, it fails to mention that whilst Xbox was "winning" it was being outsold by 120,000 a week worldwide.

How is losing on a slightly smaller scale than normal a "turning point"?

The gap is still growing, it's now at a ratio of 1.8:1 instead of 2:1.

SONY ARE DOOMED...lol

3469d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

What's crazier is that they were losing by ~120,000 units a week globally whilst claiming a victory.

Sony could show the Japanese sales figures and claim victory every month, but they're too classy for that.

Last week PS4 sold over 31,000 units in Japan, XboxOne sold 237 in total.

That is a far bigger margin than MS has ever had over Sony in the States.
