Give up, you can't educate BWJ's they don't care about facts, they just want to get in with the "cool kids" on the hate train.
(BWJ = Band Wagon Jumpers).
Bandwagon jumpers are worse than SJW's. Like those that jump on the anti-SJW bandwagon and bang on and on at every opportunity.
You guys have become worse than those you persecute.
It was only a concept and prototype though.
That's a lie!!!! Nobody thinks a Toyota Camry is fantastic.
Yes, but I've been looking at articles on the specific Ryzen and Vega technologies involved and have some interest for that particular reason.
The flagship Vega card has been outperforming a 1080, for example, and as I know some of the available information on both their new GPU and CPU architecture already (clock speeds, core numbers, new features etc.), it will be interesting to see how this solution compares.
Or up my backside, whichever is more unpleasant.
Best comment so far.
That's pretty cool (from what I've read about Ryzen and Vega). Will be interesting to see clock speeds and how customised they are.
(I know I'm a confirmed MS hater, but that's good news for gamers in general I think).
Surely "Femmes Fatale" would be a better name for an all female fighting game than Fatal Fighter (which doesn't allude to the games USP in the slightest).
No, it is being steered quite firmly by Crytek these days and is being developed on CryEngine;
"Nuttall was able to confirm that Rewind had undergone a number of programmatic and personnel changes behind the scenes in recent months, apparently brought on by Crytek’s direct involvement with the title. He explained: “We had to make changes to suit Crytek’s needs; a lot of the team didn’t agree with the changes and left."
It seems Crytek moved in, ...
Free Radical Design (Crytek UK) made the originals but we're disbanded a few years ago.
I'm not sure another Crytek subsidiary can match the experience (they don't seem to share information very readily at Crytek lately).
I hope I'm wrong, I loved the originals.
The article makes very little sense in places;
"But the power argument- we keep coming back to the power argument (as if the system’s ability to output in 4K matters on its 6 inch screen)."...
What about when it's outputting to a 64" TV though?
"I don’t want to even get into the principles of discussing hardware specs- as mid cycle upgrades like the PS4 Pro have shown us, better specs might lead to prettier games, but don’t me...
You are utterly clueless on the subject. The feature doesn't change textures at all. It just means that 16bit instructions can be sent in 16bit segments rather than larger ones that waste efficiency.
Think of the CPU as a warehouse and the GPU as a department store. Currently every time the store runs out of stock it sends a large truck to the warehouse, which is great if you have a truckload of goods to pick up, but what if you only have a couple of boxes?

@fixit
No it didn't, you are confused beyond belief.
It didn't take off because it was only a feature on one manufacturers GPU. Nobody developed for it because it wasn't industry standard and few people had the hardware.
It was very much like multi-core CPU's in that it was really slow for developers to pick up momentum, the big difference is that all CPU manufacturers were making multi-core chips so the industry was finally forced to focus on it, whereas a single company had this GPU feature, so it was easy to ignore.

But how much money would they have made if they charged just $5? If more than 6% would buy it for $5 they are losing out.
If it was $2, they'd probably have made more than $50m by now.
I've never had an error message and download often.
The game is OK, it seems a bit odd to give it 9/10 though, it isn't that good.
@MichaelLito
Based on Microsoft's determination not to reveal sales figures, they also believe they are failing.
There is no genuine reason NOT to release sales figures other than to avoid being compared (unfavourably) to the market leader.
I'm not saying it is a failed console, but I guarantee that MS are disappointed at coming a distant second.
Why else would they be too embarrassed to release the sales figu...
It isn't and never was.
