PS4 is more than twice as powerful as a pc with the same specs (several developers including John Carmack have said so).
I suppose thats what you get from playing games on a machine that evolved from a word processor, a compromised experience.
A pc is like a granny racing in a Ferrari, it has a lot of potential that is never going to be reached fully.
@xboxisthaworst
PS4 has twice the fill rate, 50% more power and has a load of unannounced launch titles, whats your point?
Badboy, read the article, it has nothing to do with finances.
To be honest, thats exactly what I'll be likely to do when I get my ps4. I don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment but my situation changes frequently. If I buy a PS4 and find myself short, I don't have to pay another penny to play games. If the same scenario happened with X1, I'll have paid £80 more in the first place, then have to pay for gold just to play free games. Easy choice.
I know, and then they laugh and say "see your multiplayer isn't free now either", as if it was a smart move to get in early on the trend of getting shafted by console companies.
Well done, you predicted the trend and got into paying money for a service a whole generation ahead of PS gamers. Now you have the privilege of saying:
"I was one of the pioneers of paying for multiplayer, in fact I was paying when the rest of the gaming world was get...
The best bit of news for pc gamers:
"The PS4 is a much more consistent, stable platform for us to be able to develop for. The big challenge with the PS4 is its AMD chip, and it really, heavily relies on multi-threading. We have the exact same kind of Achilles heel on the PC too. People who have AMD chips have a disadvantage, because a single core on an AMD chip doesn't really have as much horsepower and they really require you to kind of spread the load out across mu...
That depends on the genre, you don't need good storytelling in a racing game or sports game for it to be good.
SHES A HOOKER!! Tell your roommate to call home and tell them before she gets murdered or ends up in a seedy abandoned warehouse with a needle in her veins.
She brought home $5623 because she's a slapper, that Jam10 BS is for pimps and ho's to hide where they're getting their money from.
It's not whether it is or is not capable of running the game that is in question, its whether or not it is worth the developers time to produce a version of the game that is unlikely to sell well.
Resident Evil 1 was on PlayStation, I don't know why so many people are trying to claim the series for Nintendo.
Doom 64 was only allowed to be released on the N64 after the devs turned all the blood green. Nintendo has always made a stand against mature videogames, its only in the last decade that its changed stance slightly.
The no M on Nintendo 'myth' started with Nintendo.
I think thats beginning to die down a little (although with Gamescom fast approaching, it won't last).
I hope so, he said that both machines run like PCs with more than twice the specs. I hope he's right on that one.
@Below
Yeah, I know his pedigree (been gaming for 33 years). I was just trying to emphasise a point I made the other day to PC gamers who refused to accept what he said (about the power of the new systems)
No its not, the PCIe bridge is a huge bottleneck when it comes to parallel processing. Two dedicated pools of memory will likely be phased out eventually.
Remembering three an a half laughs?
Edit (sorry, I thought you said giggles).
If Ryse is like the Xbox one, it'll do a 180 before it launches and become a sci-fi racer.
@Cgoodno
The problem isn't with the motion capture, its with the rendering side.
@Autodid......
" the only other game that truly destroys this in emotional conveyance is L.A. noire"
Heavy Rain beats all at emotional conveyance.
It does look cool. The faces look a bit cartoon'ish up close (which hopefully will be sorted before launch), but apart from that minor gripe, it looks impressive visually.
Can you still use kinect or has it gone completely?
It does seem odd that they start a game designed around kinect, then drop kinect (even when moving to next gen and new improved kinect).
Did the game get too big (important) for kinect, or is kinect just not suitable f...

Grow up, you're as much of a fanboy as anybody.
