I want a new boxing game more than anything, I hope there's something in store for PS4. To me a console is incomplete without a good boxing game.
@Where'smymonkey
I think you've just made my point good sir. My point is that all the 'innovation' that Ninten-year-olds claim Sony stole was actually out in the big wide world years before Nintendo used it. I wasn't saying Sony created these things, just that they implemented them before Nintendo and so couldn't possibly have copied them.
Bubble up for an intelligent reply though (even if you had a little dig at me).
Like;
*Nintendo copying motion controls (PS2 eyetoy)?
*Nintendo copying a second screen (What was the name of that PS memory card that had a screen you could remove and play on)?
*Nintendo copying dual analog controls from Sony?
Could go on but I know from experience that Ninten-year-olds have absolutely no understanding of facts (other than those they create themselves).
Nintendo have been really lame for over a decade, so it's to be expected. Nintendo squaring up to Sony or Microsoft is like Danny DeVito squaring up to Lennox Lewis or Mike Tyson.
@Lopez
The average PS4 is a lot more powerful than the average PC, even the average gaming PC. As much as PC fans go on about power, they tend to forget this fact. For every titan there's a 3dfx voodoo somewhere.
Shu's cool, but Reggie Feels Aimless
Hmmmmmmm......
I read somewhere (a while ago so I don't have a source) that Sony were hoping to shift 15 million units by the end of the year (probably the financial year I would think). If both these figures are correct, that would correlate with the pre-order disparity.
To be honest, I like both new pads (X1 and DS4). When it comes to new features though, I think the DS4's touchpad wins for practically mainly.
It has a lot of potential I believe. I'm sure the trigger rumble adds to the immersion in racing games etc, but it's limited to being a form of feedback rather than a form of input, so won't be useful like a touchpad is.
Bubs down Lopez, this article is about the user interfaces, you just trolling til the wheels fall off.
How can something be revolutionary when only a handful of people have one?
WiiU uses a resistive touch screen (the old fashioned less accurate type), the DS4 uses a capacitive touch pad (newer, better tech), how exactly is WiiU's better (as an input device not a viewing device).
Rumble triggers sound cool, but so does the much improved dynamic rumble of the DS4.
@disagrees, do you not have eyes? It's plain to see if you look at the pictures (its not a negative comment just an observation).
Would love to see your dictionary so I can ROFL at it's definition of the word "dominated".
The 360 version alters the geometry somewhat. If you look at the faces in all the screenshots, PS3 and WiiU are the same size and shape but the 360 displays them slightly shortened and widened. Curious to know why this is.
@Acesonnall
Unfortunately the only improvement in the WiiU version was lack of screen tearing, so despite its 'next-gen' tech, WiiU is looking almost as dated as its competition.
The WiiU version is much the same as the others but with much longer load times and no screen tearing. To me that hardly justifies a next-gen experience.
The "Daily Mail" is a terrible newspaper and should be banned. Its readership consists mainly of the middle-classes with easy, benign existences who's lives lack any real problems.
They drip-feed these people poisonous lies about the society they live in using overreaction, sensationalism and poor journalism to create the right mindset for their own political agenda.
The middle-classes lap it up and tend to base their own views on this hateful, ...
There was already a sequel in the original series; "Xcom: Terror from the deep". It was based on alien attacks on shipping and the battles were fought on the sea bed or on large cruise liners etc.
It is a great game so I don't know why they wouldn't release a sequel based on this in the same vein as "Enemy Unknown".
Don't change anything, the game is amazing as it stands.
@Tokugawa
There is no hypocrisy being displayed at all. Read the posts, almost nobody cares. Those that do are not necessarily the ones who slated the feature in the first place.
Please stop using the same stock response every time a feature is announced. Nobody has said or implied it is a "revelation".
