@Rageanitus
It's not that much of a gamble as they have already been given $3,000,000,000 by Microsoft (and presumably by Sony too).
Nvidia aren't entirely out of the console market next gen, as they've licensed PhysX for PS4 (and one would think xb1 too).
In another 5 year's APU's will be the norm as it cuts out the only major bottleneck in pc architecture (PCIe bus).
Speaking from personal experience, all you have to do to provoke these imbeciles is be black, sound black or be female. Honestly, if you defend this crap you're as bad as them.
@Timl241
I'm afraid your assumptions are wrong. The reason Microsoft went with DDR3 is purely a matter of cost and circumstance.
When both companies began designing the consoles, Microsoft's vision was for an all-in-one media device. They decided early on that it would need a lot of ram and came to the conclusion that 8gb would be sufficient. They then looked at what was available in the quantities and price range they required. At that time GDDR5 was...
Yes, I've often wanted to have the internet on screen, or talk to a friend on Skype, or even watch tv whilst I'm in a really intense moment of videogaming Belking, that feature just kills the competition./s
I don't have a problem with the feature itself, just Bellend saying the same crap about every single thing revealed.
AA batteries, that just murders Sony's efforts.
Day one Sticker, Sony fans are crying now.
Honest...
36 hrs non-stop playing Fallout 3 on my PS3 (then finally conceded that I did indeed need to sleep). Switched on when I woke up and only off again when I could no longer hold my eyes open (or I'd just fall asleep playing it). This went on for weeks (was unemployed at the time, but had plenty of weed to make for a really immersive experience).
I've really put my console through some crap and repaired it more times than I can remember, but it still holds together (just)...
NO! you can pick it up on the 17th when you buy GTA. People like you make me sick, you have no appreciation of just how difficult it is to stop and re-start a time machine whilst in motion (especially the steam powered versions). SMH. Honestly, you should have gone before we left!
@LaChance
You saw DriveClub @ 35% finished dumbass.
Octodad is made by a bunch of students, its an indie game.
But here's logic I'm sure you're familiar with; I just saw Ryse II, in its current form its at 0% complete and believe me you could make an Atari 2600 game that looked better.
@StrifeBlade
I read those notes, " nothing to worry about, semi-sim, cheesey and not much fun to play"
What's your point?
Wrong Phil there sunshine.
@Jazz
Bubble down for being off-topic. Lol
@deceiver
Personally, when I look at the graphics on the PS3 version (and the vast improvement made), I can't help but wonder whether this game was actually using the next gen platforms as the lead platform.
This would require the engine to perform a lot of multithreading, which would also benefit the PS3's cell architecture (hence it running so well optimised on PS3).
I believe that PC, XboxOne and PS4 are pretty much done and dusted and jus...
@Richie 007
Yes lets hope so, because I'm really looking for an excuse to buy into Xbox and be repeatedly raped for a generation. I want to be one of the first to contribute to the 1/4 billion dollars plus they're likely to 'earn' by cheaping-out on a battery pack (10 million purchases at $25 = 250,000,000). Same goes for the adapter to allow 360 peripherals. /S
You do realise that Microsoft will likely make over a billion dollars at least by charging for thing...
EDIT: sorry, double-post.
@Funatic
You really have been gobbling up that BS Microsoft has been shoveling since they realised how underpowered the Xone is in comparison to the PS4.
I do hope you realise that most of the technology you're peddling as Xbone's saviour, wasn't created in their technology labs but in their PR meetings retrospectively.
@Flying Foxy
You couldn't be more wrong. The split memory architecture of the PC creates a huge bottleneck in the PCIe bus which is a real problem for implementation of HSA/hUMA style parallel processing, there is no such bottleneck on the PS4.
Both next gen consoles are universally quoted by developers as being more than twice as powerful as a PC with equivalent specs. Think more along the lines of a PC with 3.0-4.0 TFlops due to closed system optimizati...

THE PLURAL OF AIRCRAFT IS AIRCRAFT
1 aircraft, 2 aircraft, 100 aircraft.
Seriously, I can understand that you want to be 'real' journalists one day, so a good place to start would be to learn the English Language to greater than kindergarten level.
I happen to love the English language and its bad enough seeing it butchered and bastardised all over internet forums. When wannabe journalists can't be bothered to lea...
I miss the old top-down games, I think R* should commission someone to do it (not full price a £9.99 PS/Xb download). If not, someone should clone it, I NEED MY OLD SCHOOL GTA FIX!
No way did I ever think I'd hear anybody say that. I've always thought everyone just used those to stop better vehicles to exchange.
I hate cheese sandwiches (unless they're toasted), does this mean I don't like the Wiiu and see it as a weak, half-arsed attempt at a console designed to play endless re-hashes of old cartoon looking kiddie games? Well yes, but I never realised it was because of the cheese sandwich analogy.
Does the Wiiu have a better lineup of games if you toast it?
