Well he had to say something and couldn't really state "yes he's correct but there's nothing we can do about it".
"Don't know 'em", it hardly answers the question though does it?
"They are fighting over minimality"
When did it become "they". You are the chief amongst them all, a ringleader, the one who's been fighting the hardest, all of a sudden you realise you're on the loosing side, jump ship (to PC) and start mocking your own troops.
You are a low-life turncoat, Microsoft deserve you as a fanboy (or is it ex-fanboy now?)
Why would they hide the dGPU from the devs making games for their system?
Best quote from the comments on the article;
" No surprise at all. When you have the second coming of Christ as your systems architect you know you got something good going."
The article seems a bit pointless, it doesn't really add anything to the discussion. I suppose if you haven't been paying any attention to recent events it may be informative, but I think most on n4g will know all this already.
If you play really well do they give you the visual reward of a blank screen, which stops the awful graphics from hurting your eyes momentarily ?
That would probably work better, I'm pretty sure Microsoft has incorporated a coin slot on the X1 (for all the nickels and dimes).
I think the next gen versions are already 95% done, just getting a final spit and polish before being announced. I hope so because I'm not getting it on PS3 for that very reason.
Then give them a big wad of cash and all would be forgiven.
Not really, losing pre-order sales would cost Microsoft a lot more than breaking any NDA. If it were more powerful, Microsoft would have said so.
Breaking an NDA usually has a financial consequence, they don't send out a team of terminator assassins, Microsoft would just pay the fine.
@thetruth
Have you seen it running on X1 hardware?
It really doesn't look incredible at all (no matter what Crytek have put in it)
Where did they find those "world-class software engineers", because they were nowhere to be found during the production of the latest version of windows!
@iistuii
That is exactly why I don't like playing on PC. Every time you do you're thinking "would this look better with x and y turned on and a and b toned down a bit". It distracts you from the game and loses the sense of immersion.
I'm a console gamer and I guarantee that my PC is many times more powerful than yours.
Read my post above!
@ATI_Elite
BORING!!
This is one of the many reasons I prefer gaming on consoles. When you get into a discussion with console gamers its generally about games, when you have a discussion with PC gamers its invariably about specs and numbers (at the moment there is a crossover admittedly as console gamers get to grips with the specs of the new machines).
Console gamer: "Have you played the new "______"? it's amazing, you should try it...
The paint would still rub, scratch and peel with any movement of the analogue stick and buttons.
I do agree that having a big franchise and heavy-duty mascot can be beneficial, but it can also be detrimental.
I have never enjoyed a single Mario game, despite playing computer games since the late seventies. I don't like Mario at all, so maybe the fact that he is such a huge iconic figure for Nintendo is part of the reason I've never owned a Nintendo console.
I played the first Halo (albeit on PC), and didn't think much of it, I won't say t...
As I said before "Planning" and "Considering" mean two completely different things.
If I'm planning on buying a console, I've already made my decision. If I'm considering buying a console, I'm just thinking about it.
I am, of course, nit-picking here, but you did propose that people read the article, and that is what it says.
If "some virtually unknown guy" gave out BS about my product, I would call him out and correct his comments.
If the same "virtually unknown guy" told an uncomfortable truth about my product (and I was a spineless Microsoft mouthpiece), I'd react by saying "don't know 'em".
