This game won't "deliver" lol. There was instant damage and years added to its development cycle the second they decided on Cryengine.
It certainly is a superior offering but the base experience that sells most consoles, like the standard PS4, is already a treat with stunning looking games capable on the machine like Horizon Zero Dawn at native 1080p already looking like on the best looking games this gen (and thus looks great on a 2007 1080p TV unlike a vast majority of Xbone games).

@PlayableGamez- Have fun paying Sony for a PS Sub then to stream games to a PC, to stream them to an Xbone without resoltuons above 1080p or HDR. Good luck with that, just buy a PS4 if you want the games that bad and in better native form.

@mikeslemonade You are clearly thinking of the 360 and last gen. PS3 came out a year later than 360 and STILL got their Slim console out a year before Microsoft did. Its even more hilarious because the 360 needed its slim revision a week after it came out in 2005.
Honestly, find any hardcore 360 fan you know and they will tell you they have purchased AT LEAST 3 360 consoles before Summer 2010 when the Slim 360 launched (and they bought that one too).

They are sort of a team at Sony that work on lots of different projects or help out lots of other Sony studios with their games. I remember hearing about them the first time back in 2012 when they helped out a lot with LittleBigPlanet for the Vita.
They are a great little team and I hope nothing ever happens them being based in the UK, lately the death place of big game developers.

@candystop Nail on the head. The animations of Horizon Zero Dawn, i.e graphics, are what makes the gameplay so incredible and flow so smoothly.
@Sonyslave3 That's hilarious because after the meh looking games at the start of this gen like Battlefield 4 at 720p, Dead Rising 3 at 720p 22fps and linear QTE game Ryse at 900p, it was DEFINITELY all about the "gameplay" back then.

@Phil32 The Wii U would have sold just as much at launch if a new Zelda game (even a below average one like Skyward Sword that scored typical 10/10s) launched with the console. The sales of BOTW, that are even higher than the console itself, is proof of this.
The difference with the Wii U and the Switch simply is, Nintendo fans actually went out and bought one within the first month of its launch, unlike the Wii U where they complained why nobody was buying it while not even touching...
