4 was Mikami's definitive vision for Resident Evil, and it is amazing how it went on to be a very influential game. It amazes me how people forget that 4 started the over the shoulder camera angle.

It's not the exact interview I read a while ago, but Mikami did say this was in line with how the franchise should have been.
Can you for once just not mention Resident Evil 5 or 6 in one of your posts? We get it, you don't like the action direction they gone, but you are really beating a dead horse.
So far I'm enjoying the game. The controls are fluid, the characters play different from each other, and the visuals are nice. I haven't been online yet, so I can't really comment on it.
Dead or Alive 5 has been a great game so far.
It would be the saddest day in the gaming industry. Miyamoto has done so much for the industry, so even though he would be gone, his legacy would never be forgotten.
My five favorites are 2, 3, REmake, Code Veronica, and 1, in that order. Those games were back when Resident Evil was truly survivor horror.
Who knows, maybe one day Capcom will ditch this dramatic horror stuff and take the series back to it's survival horror roots.
Persona 4 Arena was region locked to prevent Japanese fans from importing the North American version at a cheaper cost. Also, the call to lock it was made by Atlus Japan.
Here is some gameplay footage for the first game:

And gameplay for Mk.2:

If you can look past the loli characters and tons of fan service, the games are enjoyable and are pretty funny.
I hope this gets announced for a North American and European release soon. Yakuza is one of my favorite franchises.
Darksiders II is such a great game. Looking forward to the DLC.
What about Disgaea 4? One moment you pop in the disc and the next thing you know you just spent nearly 100 hours playing it.
Not gonna lie, that Two-Way TV thing sounds pretty creepy.
Anyways, it seems like Microsoft is trying to market the Xbox as an entertainment system that can also play games. Whatever floats their boat. Obviously the approach is working for them as a whole, just at the expense of gamers.
^ Beat me to the punch.
Not exactly. The official order is thus:
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
Kingdom Hearts
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 *
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories *
Kingdom Hearts II
Kingdom Hearts coded
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
* happens at the same time.
1-Up had a great article about the difficulties of creating an HD Collection. It is more than just uprezzing, anti-aliasing, and adding a trophy set. These guys essentially have to start from the ground up from the start of the conversions, and so much can be lost in translation. This is what sets the good collections apart from the bad ones.
A game like Kingdom Hearts lasts for about 50 hours. The other two don't last as long, but having to re-create a 50 hour game will ...
I understand that the preferable collection is Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, and Birth By Sleep, but at least Square Enix is trying to please us. That is more than what other companies have been doing lately.
And you wonder why they won't remake Final Fantasy 7...
Nice to see that Sony was willing to take a chance on a unique game. Also, Panzer Dragoon is awesome.
Yeah, 32G for the Deluxe and only 8G for the Basic. Pretty disappointing with how small the memory is, but Nintendo said you could plug in any USB drive to expand the memory.
It seems like they are moving away from the anime influenced style for a more realistic one. Personally, I think the characters look great.
If so many core gamers will ignore the Wii U, then how come it is already selling out? Gamestop just ran out of the 32G model.
I say we wait and see, but I'm optimistic that the Wii U will be a "core" system.
How so? Perona 4 Arena has a great story mode, score attack, challenges, and online is great. I feel like I got a lot out of this game $60, and I'm still playing it online.
Or if you don't change enough they get accused of milking the franchise, like Mario. Gamers are a funny bunch indeed.
