I'm so happy that XSEED announced that they are localizing Corpse Party: Book of Shadows.

Now I just need Nintendo to bring over Fatal Frame IV and Fatal Frame II Wii to the US.

Some interesting choices you got there, but I totally agree with Fire Emblem, Sonic Colors, and Tales of Symphonia.

Silly blahblah346, don't you know that shipped is more important to the publisher? Do you know what that is? It is because the publisher makes all of their money on copies shipped. The only time they make money on copies sold is if you buy directly from the publisher.

...Who here remembers when costumes were unlockables? You know, little bonuses for actually playing the game or incentives to actually improve yourself.

I know DOA 5 is one of the few fighting games out there that has unlockable content, but most of the costumes just amount to palette swaps.

I sure do miss the old days...

I don't really trust IGN's reviews when it comes to fighting games. Normally I just go to Gamespot or Shoryuken if I need any info on a fighting game I'm thinking of buying.

If Capcom is dead set on staying on the action route for Resident Evil, then why not? The man knows how to make action games, but that is only if Capcom wants to stay on the road it is on.

@Soldierone
OK, I don't really check IGN's review in progress stuff, but that is messed up to say that a game is rather good and give it a 4.5.

I know Gamespot explains why they do that in their review policy page, it's to prevent some bias and conflict of interest. I do agree that it is wrong though to have two people work on one game.

Which is why I say option C is the only logical choice for a re-review.

I don't think publishers sway reviews, I think it has to do with the intimidation factor, especially with some new reviewers.

I also agree that readers should never affect the review score, but it probably happens. Look at Call of Duty for example. I guarantee that there will be some reviewers that will score Blops II low because that is what the 'hardcore' crowd wants. If th...

Well to be fair, the person that does the previews almost never does the reviews, and MOH is one of the ones that the reviewer didn't preview.

Different opinions from different people, blame the preview guy for hyping it up, the reviewer had nothing to do with it.

How could I forget the hype train? That is a tough one to deal with, and could warrant the occasional re-review. However, I just don't think re-reviews should be common practice.

Pretty soon we will be saying "I can't wait to see the Ultimate Truth Edition of the review."

They could just review the DLC without messing with the original review though.

Unless there is some massive patch released, I say no. Re-reviews seem like a bit of a cop out really.

The only reasons that I can think of for reviews are either:

A) Publisher wanted you to look again due to a low score.
B) Reader backlash (the original score was too high or too low).
C) A patch that radically fixed a lot of issues, and the game is almost a new experience (which I don't think has ever happened).

If you r...

I totally want to high-five this author right now. As he said, there are more than one type of journalist. The real question is if they are good or not.

Sadly that doesn't mean it will sell. If I remember correctly, Chrono Trigger for the DS turned out to be a slight dud.

I also hate to break it, but JRPGs just aren't as popular as they used to be. But, one can dream...

Etna and Laharl would be cool, but a Prinny would be better.

15 pages? Is that really necessary?

Fun is subjective. For instance, I love SPRGs like Disgaea and FF Tactics. I love all the number crunching, grid-based movement, the stories, and the level-grinding in those type of games. However, there are a lot of people that find SRPGs to be very boring. It all is in the eye of the beholder.

I would hope so, but I don't think NISA is involved with the franchise anymore.

If memory serves me right, Tecmo Koei know completely owns GUST and all of their games. And normally, Tecmo Koei does not localize everything for the US market, and it it does they seem to be going digital.

Batsu from Rival Schools is in Tatsunoko vs Capcom, the game is on the Wii.
