Precisely. It can bring awareness to an ongoing issue. We witness the sight or a chilling description of something and it can result in us empathizing with that character. In a way, we wind up knowing someone who was affected by it.
Perfect example: White phosphorus in Spec Ops. We are so used to just bombing things in video games. But to see the chilling aftermath, seeing that you incinerated so many innocents and knowing you gave them a horrible death. It opened a lot of pe...
English trailers suck in general. Remember the one for the god-awful DBZ Kinect game? "You can be a Super Sai-yin"... How could you mispronounce Saiyan!?
"That light has a family!"
However, some DLC that are offered as pre-order incentives or as Day 1 DLC are often times obviously just chopped from the game. Things like skins are understandable, but things like how Dying Light having a whole game mode cut out and given as a pre-order bonus is simply wrong and is anti-consumer.
The whole "DLC is optional" argument doesn't apply in every instance.
I'm surprised Call of Duty wasn't on the list, since IGN practically masturbates to it.
It hasn't been announced yet so, no. If I were to guess, Fallout 4 will not be coming out for another two or three years.
Bethesda didn't release ESO, Zenimax (their parent company) developed and published it. Bethesda only made sure it fit with the lore.
She knows Joel is lying to her, but doesn't know what exactly happened. She probably does find out later on in life, however.
Mostly little kids and casual gamers that are still in college.
Street Fighter 5 would so exist without Sony's funding. I don't see how anyone thinks Capcom is in such bad shape financially that they couldn't do it on their own. All Sony did with Capcom was exactly what Microsoft did with Square Enix: bought exclusivity rights to a game.
I don't think they'll push away from gaming. What they may do is start bringing retro games back into the stores. The 30-year mark is approaching for the older consoles, so SNES and N64 games especially will only be more and more sought after as 30 years comes and passes. Then they may start selling digital codes in a similar way to how PSN and XBLive cards are done.
They may also probably dip into the tablet games and such. They're already advertising for Kongreg...
I know, right? He should have asked for a million! /s
I don't think that's the problem. You know how some kids were dropped? Yeah, he was punted into a ceiling fan.
"Tree-punching"? Is that what we're calling it now?
Could have been worse... he could have had a morningstar.
No, there really aren't. Most jobs are low-paid; hell, even nurses make an average of $15 per hour. The cost of living here is roughly $20/hour. Most employers also view the massive number of people applying as a reason to just nitpick or hold out for perfection, pay very little, then go "well others want this job too, so you're fired for wanting a reasonable wage".
The resolution isn't "get a better job" it is fixing the stranglehold we've...
I got mine just for Smash. Does anybody have any suggestions on other games outside of Mario Kart?
On a side note, I seriously think Nintendo should look into doing that open world Pokemon RPG that many Pokemon fans have been wanting. Just have it go Pokemon Stadium when you're going into a match.
I'm wondering if some regions are affected more than others. I'm in Pennsylvania and I was online with my family all day from noon til 10pm yesterday.
Looking forward to trying this one out. I may have hated ME3's ending, but I still love Mass Effect. Hopefully the story and characters are just as good or better, and hopefully they learned to write an ending in mind for the overall plot this time rather than waiting until the last part of he story.
Infantilizing the industry and its primary demographic because of the professionally offended and idiotic/incompetent parents, as you seem to be suggesting, will hurt our hobby. Every other medium can use rape, torture, and all other topic that is considered taboo and "controversial" when a game does it simply because these people believe the primary demographic are still children.
Hence why Target Australia banned GTA5... because parents didn't want their kids ...
