I appreciate games for what they are as well. All I am saying is that a GTA game as a female protagonist is just as viable as one with a male protagonist. The core would remain the same and it wouldnt be negatively effected by having a female lead.
Not once did I say I felt that it was "overdue". Would it be nice to have more female protagonists out there within the gaming industry as a whole? Yes. Am I saying developers are required to do add more female protagonis...
In Black Flag there is a list of settings theyre thinking about i the hacking minigame. Two of the five or six were French Revolution, and the other is Victorian England and thats been revealed as the next most likely setting. Feudal Japan was on that list.
Most stories can fit either men or women into it, GTA included. Just look at Saints Row and Mass Effect. While female protagonists shouldnt be forced down our throats, it may be a bit refreshing to see one a bit more often than usual.
GTA doesnt need to have hookers. Though they could easily have random NPCs pull over, pick a hooker up, and go someplace private. Perfect way to introduce muggings.
Plenty of women go to strip clubs, and not just to see male strippers. Murder and running people over also isnt exclusive to men. Just play Saints Row as a female protagonist, its done right and feels natural as opposed to the whole forced equality crap.
Maybe couple that with an accessory that will enable you to play your old Nintendo game cartridges or the 3DS games on the tv. That way if you already own Star Fox 64 or Super Mario World 64, you dont need to buy it off the Virtual Console. The Wii U still comes with composite cables so it can hook into a Standard Definition TV just fine so no worrying about pixelation unless you arent a hoarder like me lol.
Maybe they're hoping to watch free porn via Kinect.
The same can be said about any industry. While it is admirable that they want to counter criminals before they pull something on someone, this is the wrong way. While trust without skepticism is hollow, the "guilty until proven innocent" mindset the US has adopted is getting worse and worse.
Maybe they'll learn something, then. Best not learn the hard way that it's not like yanking a lawnmower cord >_<
They didn't make anyone buy anything. It was planned and fans were asking for it before the last gen versions even released and even more so after those files were discovered. So a company wants money and does what it's fans want in a non-conflicting manner, that is basic business not milking.
The cash cards vs earning money through gameplay is another story, however.
Especially when the only way to make anywhere close to $1,000,000 is to play the game for days on end or spend $20. While the argument that you can just play the game is valid, it still takes way too long for just playing the game to offset the "need" to buy those damned packs.
So releasing a game cross-generation is milking? Guess Far Cry 4, Dragon Age Inquisition, The Evil Within, among several others must be getting milked as well. And before anyone claims it is milking because of a one-year gap, there are files within the PS3 and XBox 360 versions that made it abundantly clear that Rockstar planned on making PS4 and XBox One versions of GTA5 and that it was a matter of time before they released them.
Releasing games cross-gen is milking. In addi...
A zombie would have better luck finding a brain in Congress than us getting that FF7 remake.
That's precisely why they're upset. They don't want the same thing they got, they don't want another port or HD remaster. What they want is what they've been asking for since before the PS3 was released:
A full remake of the game. Square Enix has stated they know this is what the fans want and tease them with this idea, then constantly ignore it in favor of porting the PS1 version over and over.
@Pixelsword
I think he was playing Candy Crush.
There is a difference between an excuse and an explanation.
@Pixie.
Correct. Technically, a 10 should be classified as a Gem. It has flaws but it is a game that is or should be sought after due to it being one of those games all of it's particular type should be measured to.
@Zero_Gamer.
Right, because stating a fact is being salty. All you just did was make yourself look stupid by saying so, kid.
And anyone with a full brain would see it is a bit of both. XBox is selling poorly, this can easily be seen as a move of desperation considering what games are being bundled and how many bundles there are. Sony only has a couple bundles available and those, considering how well Sony is doing, are only available to attempt diminish Microsoft's chances at improving their own odds.
Sony is countering, while MS is desperate. Both companies are making good and solid business m...
They're only offering two games, if I remember right. One being a game they've already made a hefty profit on and the other being GTA5. So kind of like a Destiny bundle with an extra game. It is a similar but reasonable bundle. Two brand new games plus two games that are months old and the console for only $50 more is potentially a bad sign. Especially if this tactic fails for Microsoft.
Similar to how Bethesda does with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout? Id support that if it means better quality and a more intricate or involving story like AC2 had.
