I agree to some extent but I honestly feel that there is no point to be up in arms about it as all they're getting is a world map and a deck of poker cards. Had it been the necklace or statue, then I'd see the point in it.
The way I see it, any business that blows off servicing their customers for being less than a day past warranty does not deserve business. That was my personal experience. If you don't believe me, then that's your prerogative but that doesn't change the fact that it happened. And no, you didn't have to pay for the repairs if the 360 RRoD'ed if it was in warranty. Mine was less than one day out of warranty and they demanded I pay for it. I love Sony due to the fact that when my original 80GB fat PS3 died three years after warranty, they repaired and sent it back to me for free after I expressed to them my disappointment with Microsoft (without me even asking them to, they just offered to do it free). Whereas Microsoft refused to repair my RRoD'ed 360 unless I payed them because it was literally just a few hours out of warranty when I called.

It is possible that the PS4/XB1 exclusive, Unity, will focus on continuing the Juno storyline. A separate but related story arch to the previous one with Desmond. After all, I feel it is kind of a dick move to go "want to find out the ending of this arch? Spend $460" rather than just starting a new arch in a relatively self-contained way on the new consoles. I haven't watched WWE in several months but they often went out of their way to show Cena even after Summerslam and TLC. He cannot go one year without holding the title once or twice.
