Seem to remember Gearbox talking about being superfans of the Aliens franchise as well.
I have learned to take "Hey look we are fans too!" statements with a truckload of salt.
Well as long as they don't try to slice out a portion for themselves, support would be appreciated.
GFWL was MS trying to carve out a portion of PC gaming in order to bring it closer to Xbox and unify both under the same "flag". Problem was both communities had very different needs and expectations.
GFWL was a good idea "at a single point in time", but MS failed to adapt to the changes in the PC marketplace. They control much of the m...
While it seems logical, it might be just too broad in its focus.
Maintaining a budget based on the fans that will buy the game instead of pouring more money in to appeal to more fans would be a smarter option IMO.
As far as capturing the spirit of the movie, no one has done better.
Yea it is.
Nemesis system aside, this game shows that sometimes if it ain't broke don't fix it.
The Orks are amazing too.
Because there isn't a need for them.
The title really should better reflect the truth of the matter. Calling attention to stuff like this is fine, but when the truth is lost in translation, its only fair that title reflect that. As it is, its needlessly inflammatory.
It really helps no one.
This is classic survival horror. Exactly how an Alien game should be.
So the idea is to trade one set of "thought police" for another? What happened to thinking for ourselves?
Do you really think developers are only inundated with SJ issues? They aren't, they get every single thing you can imagine.
And yet what impacts games the most is Capitalism. Reality is that:
1. Games are protected by the first amendment.
2. Feedback from the customers is what is largely responsible for th...
So a game has a hard time getting noticed and its a conspiracy? And the evidence for this is the developers opinion? 750 up votes vs. 3000 down votes... damn you RPS!!!
You know it could be that the games just aren't that great, so I'm not sure how one arrives at the conclusion that everyone is against him. Seems a bit unethical to start reinforcing that developers can blame outside sources for their games failing.
As for GamerGate, well I can't ...
I certainly am not over hyped for Witcher 3. I expect it will need some work post launch, but I am also expecting what they delivered twice before already.
But really, trusted source or not, "its gonna suck guys, trust me." is far from factual in any way. If the poster wants to elaborate more than "PR is BS" I'll take what they say seriously.
Though I would urge people, especially on consoles, to not expect perfection day one. In fact ...
Nah it just gets crazier and crazier as you go on.
Love brutalizing some captains and watching the Uruks run, that never gets old IMO.
I'm not a "60fps or GTFO" type but on quite a few games 30fps is simply not enjoyable. Especially considering mouse control tends to be effected by that.
I believe its more noticeable with mouse acceleration. Hate mouse acceleration. In some cases that and low fps can make a game unplayable. Dead Space on PC had horrendous controls.
IMO it edges out the Batman games in giving you the "I'm a badass" feeling. And it does this from literally the first moment.
I also like how 'for the most part' they utilize increasing numbers of Uruks to offset your badassery.
Its a space "action-sim" with RPG elements. Think Freelancer with an RGP-ish component. Its not overly complex and very easy to get in to.
By far the developers were the best during early access. You post a suggest and 9 times out of 10 they responded.
This is a true Early access success.
IMO its literally the best parts Assassins Creed and Batman. I mean it works, and its fun as hell if you like both those games.
Wait, didn't he do a paid "advert" for Planetside 2? He was honest and transparent about that, but still...
I'm with you there, though at the end of the day I got the $15 or so I paid out of it so I won't really complain.
I am aware of that, but I'm still sort of adapting to the system.
My "fear" was a general one, based on the idea that I don't know what I will like so don't base it what I like now, sort of thing. I wasn't targeting anything specific.
Its such a minor thing really. I am very happy about these changes and I agree with you.
Bandai Namco is distributing. They do that with the Witcher series as well.
