Redtails or a whole new IP makes the most sense. Since when has LA NOT done a tie-in.
Except for the adventure games(and a few others), LA hasn't developed many games in-house. So it would seem that the Battlefront, X-wing, and KOTOR franchises are unlikely. Also, I would be wary if LA decided to develop any of these franchises on its own. You want LA even breathing on KOTOR? I don't.
Had the news been that they were bringing in members from a studi...
There are lots a little glitches, some more annoying than others. But nothing game breaking. It deserves 8/10 and a shot at a sequel.
my only worry is loading screens turning into commercials. As long as ads in no way interfere with me playing the game Im fine with it. But as soon as I have to wait a nano-second to play a game because of an ad, I'll raise all sorts of hell.
The ads were discussed earlier, although the rumor was they were in-game. Didn't see any so I guess this is what they meant.
Ugh. Anyone else worried their hiring for "in-house" positions? Pretty sure LA, didn't dev any of those games. And unless they have changed their views about the PC, Im even more worried.
I don't think this is a black & white issue. That players will choose one or the other. Im play the good guy, I can't help it. But I fully admit to killing some of those beggar women in AC. Their fault for not getting the hint.
I think the guy is wrong. Given the choice most people would do the right thing, whether in real life or a game. Only the game allows us you explore those dark places with in ourselves. But people aren't like Bruce Banner, where the rig...
PC is an open platform. That is the biggest difference. You're right the "average joe" doesn't care about that stuff, which is why he bought a console.
Is it worth the money? Last time I upgraded my PC was 2 years ago and it cost me 140$; I pay, at most, 50$ for new releases, sometimes less, and mods are free. Yea, its worth it.
You like consoles for their convenience? You prefer hassle free gaming? Fine. I have no problem with that. I do ha...
PC gaming a waste of money? really? And you know 90% of mods suck because... what? you played them all? I didn't think so. Nice try, passing yourself as the "lone wolf" PC gamer fighting "elitism" with the power of truth. I'm all for "to each his own" and all that, but jack-offs like you, that pretend like they got some sort of inside scoop and don't know shit, really piss me off.
Framerate is the biggest difference? Moron.
this ^ .....makes no sense at all. The modders have all sorts of gameplay videos. Its called Google use it before making stupid comments.
X-COM in first person perspective will only work if the strategy part is still there. What will ruin X-COM is its platform. Simply put the majority of console gamers don't like micro-management and complexity. Not to mention the studio making X-COM saying strategy is a dead genre. Perspective is the least of our worries.
But the majority is content with mindless corridor shooters.
Wasn't that bad. I didn't see any "game-breakers". It's not perfect but I have played far worse. My problem with the game are really just design related. The lighting is weird in a few places, things like that.
Might be true. But pc gamers should definitely not be excited. At best it will be ported once they made they're money. No pc support, no mod tools, and most likely no dedicated servers. Evil PC gamers would be lucky just to get quick port.
LA, like Lucas himself, is masterful at making crap. Which, with the SW franchise, should be really hard to do. Even the successes they do have end up getting forgotten in favor of more shit. BF3 should have been released ages ago and e...
I still wanna know the monthly sub rate they are gonna charge. Everyone is jumping into this game with no idea how much its gonna cost. BW says it will be standard pricing but they aren't giving the exact price. In the end I think value will be the deciding factor. 60$ for the digital copy (ripoff) plus 20$ month? Fuckin game better do my laundry and make me breakfast for that amount of money.
EA charges the full 60$ on digital new releases. Kind of a bad start to this whole competition thing. Also Valve doesn't set third-party game prices. It will probably be the same with Origin as well. Thus, no "competitive" pricing.
EA isn't about to stop raping your wallet for the sake of competition. EA has gamers by the balls, with their larger library of titles they publish, they'll charge the most they can. Even if BF3 was released on Steam, EA would...
Deus Ex was a game of its time. Many of the major successes of the past were successful because the came out at the right time.
Many would look at Half Life 1 as a simple FPS, but at the time its ai and level design was unheard of. Deus Ex wouldn't work now because its innovations would have already been done. And considering the majority of the console crowd these days the original DX would have failed miserably since the game require at least a little thinking.
If I were MS or Sony I'd hire the guy for marketing.
Seriously, porno's have less absurd names than this. Yet they managed to convince at least a few people the game was real enough to look in to.
I personally think this trailer is a brilliant piece of work. And lets be honest, of all the attention-whoring on Youtube this is where you draw the line? People overreact so easily things like this they all logic out the window. Which I suspect is the reas...
Its fake. so relax.
Speaking of creativity, the person/s that created the trailer convinced you that it was a real game. A few more outbursts like yours and Fox news does a story on it. I can't think of a more creative way to get your work noticed, can you?
Its a fake. A clever one too. The trailer is very convincing.
But consoles won't release it. Had its creator just said pc only it would have been very hard to tell.
I am very impressed with the trailer though. To convince people a game this absurd is in production takes talent. Once this is circulated a bit more the person/s responsible should have no problem getting a job.
For me it stutters a bit when entering a new area, after that its smooth as butter.
Its not a bad port. In fact its quite good. I've played bad ports before and this doesn't come close.
Because more DXHR is a bad thing? news to me.
I got a GTX 460 about a year and a half ago for 150$. With a q9450 (last gen quad core) and 6 gigs of super cheap ram, I can max out pretty much any game. Prior to That I had an 8800GTX which played Crysis on ultra settings with 2x aa.
PC gaming is more complicated but it isn't more expensive. You have to know your PC and know what it can handle. I am not an IT pro, far from it, but with a basic knowledge of what goes where and what does what, it was easy to build my own ...
