Actually, Gearbox does has a pretty shady history outside of Borderlands. Things started rather early in their company's history with questionable actions, but really can be boiled down to massive misappropriation of publisher funding, lying to the public, censoring the public, being totally unwilling to apologize for a myriad of actions, being partially responsible in the closure of another studio, and a handful of other things. You can read through a lot of it here: 3585d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

Without question, if you're a fan of those movies then this series would likely be right alongside those as one of your favorites. As for what to start with, that's a tough call.

The manga will give you the full story with bits and details that they haven't touched at any point outside of the manga. However, if you are mostly interested in anime over reading manga, or if you'd rather just start with the general anime side of things, I'd suggest starting...

A new Berserk game?! This is awesome! The last Berserk made was for the PS2, and that one never released outside of Japan. With this new one being a musou style game, there's a lot of interesting content they could cover. The teaser alone has me very excited to see what they will bring.

Hey Jordan, in case you haven't seen it yet, I sent you a PM in regards to your question.

On topic, it's good to see that Blizz is trying to work with these folks. I had no idea that Nostralius was such a populated server. The population count was probably the thing that set the flag off for them to take it down.

There are quite a myriad of other independently run servers out there hosting each of the different popular WoW builds. Some of them ha...

The delays are really only part of a very convoluted story with this game. It breaks to a mixture of horrible communication, a massive amount of mismanagement, asking for more money to implement features that backers thought were in the game already, hiring certain individuals who spent their time adjusting the game to their personal social agendas, screwing up backer rewards and surveys to an unbelievable degree, and a lot of other aspects. If you want the whole breakdown, you can either PM ...

There are a lot of things that Human Revolution did right, especially compared to Invisible War, but they still have more room to improve and work toward being as astounding as the original. The one thing I'd really like to see them add back in are melee weapons. I'm not sure if Mankind Divided has them back, but the melee insta-takedowns and the Typhoon ability made Human Revolution far too easy and simple. In the original Deus Ex, melee weapons were a focal point with one of them ev...

Obsidian are an awesome developer with a lot of the old school talent from years gone by. It's a real shame that they got passed over by Ubisoft for the upcoming South Park game. Considering that they came up with the concept for the prior game (Stick of Truth), worked tirelessly with Matt and Trey to create it, and due to the closure of THQ the IP was bought by Ubisoft who instead decided to create the sequel with an in-house studio as well as not green-lighting any of the seasonal DLC t...

Actually, I don't mean to offend, but that's not completely accurate. During the PS3 era, Resistance 1 and 2, as well as both Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and A Crack In Time were all 60 fps titles. After R&C: A Crack In Time" was released, they posted a statement saying that they were not going to be making any more 60 fps games, essentially because it was more work and framerate isn't something that sells games as strongly as certain other visual upgra...

I think you had a very fair and level headed reply, more than many others on here, though I'd like to offer a few counter points to explain why I think that there would be some problems with having an easier mode.

Consider these games as their own "genre". Not everyone likes every genre of game. While the "Souls" series may share traits of other games, and it's easy to mistake them as another "ARPG", they are intended to be difficult and ...

Yes, the developer's recent Kickstarter update mentions that they were truly sorry for the problems with the PlayStation release, as well as the lack of updates, and that they were going to be providing this as a full update for everyone. I don't know how this is going to work, but they also mentioned that they want to give anyone who purchased DFS on PlayStation formats a Steam Key to make amends and tide them over until the Chunky Edition is released.

From what Edmund said on his Twitter page, they've officially finished the work on the PS4 and XB1 versions of Afterbirth and they expect it to be released on those two platforms within the next few weeks now. However, it sounds like the studio that he is working with is not able to get the game running on anything else. I believe that he explained that they thought it may not be possible to get it running on the 3DS or Vita.

I don't know why it would be such an issue...

I spent the entire time refreshing from both mobile and two different browsers, and the pre-order button didn't even appear for me until about 10:05 (eastern time). From then until around 10:15 the Pre-order button was there and I was trying the entire time to get one added to the cart. Every time I clicked the pre-order it said: "Sorry, this item is no longer available from the seller you selected. Click here to return to the item page and select a different seller." I assumed ...

Definitely agree with you both. I'm trying to get through a few games right now (Toukiden Kiwami is a lot longer than I expected), but Salt & Sanctuary will be among my next purchases along with Alienation. I've been following Salt & Sanctuary for a long time now, and seeing it get a final release is awesome. I'm really looking forward to getting started with it.

And don't forget "Enter The Gungeon". That's another title that I think some...

Basically, what FullmetalRoyale said is accurate. If you have a Vita or a capable PC with a Steam account, I'd recommend starting with the ReBirth series (those are where I started). They are remakes of the PS3 titles, but they have a more refined combat system, lots of changes/adjustments, and a decent amount of additional content not present in the originals. If your only means is playing them through PS3, you should still have a good time with them, though it might be a little more rou...

I'm with you Fox. Even as a long time fan of MGS, I think that it's fair to give criticism, if for no other reason than to suggest improvements for the inevitable following titles with whoever may take the helm.

I don't know how others felt, but I just didn't enjoy my time with MGSV. Between the change in voice actors (which I can't stand in any title), the counter-intuitive designs within the gameplay (such as needing to completely transport out of an are...

I actually started the series relatively recently myself. The easiest way to start them would probably be with the Re;Birth series, as those are basically remakes of the first three games, but with a more refined combat system and more general content. You can get the Re;Birth titles either on Vita or on Steam, and usually find them for about $10-$15 each. You could still play the original versions on PS3, but I think the Re;Birth titles added enough to really make that version very worth pla...

I hope so too. And I agree about the subtitles issue. It doesn't make a lot of sense why they don't push for that. Just the same as why they won't just subtitle PSO2 and bring that over. Sega logic can be quite baffling.

But from what I've read, it seems that we're getting a physical and digital copy of Zero, and I believe that they are weighing the continuation of localizations almost entirely on the performance of Zero (not as much on Yakuza 5). There we...

Same here. I spent quite a lot of time just working on my Taxi missions and other side content that I haven't gotten very far in the story yet. Kazuma racing a neon pink taxi and leaving blue trails of fire, while maneuvering the taxi sideways on two wheels just to slip by a couple of trucks is probably one of the greatest things I've seen all year. I can't wait to get further in the game.

Also, I ended up getting the Japanese version of Ishin for x-mas, so I'...

Hey Griever, I agree with much of what you've said here, and this video is yet another piece of evidence on why this specific concept shouldn't be supported, though I personally wouldn't say that very few Kickstarters have produced something of value and quality. There are actually many developers on Kickstarter that do produce great games and are really into it for the fans and the love of the work, however, we don't hear about those projects as often as the failed ones.

There's open area exploration, a variety of RPG aspects (including things like XP based level ups, learn-able fighting moves and specials, hidden secret areas/items, and multiple choice dialogue options in conversation) brawler/beat 'em up combat with a decent amount of depth (usable weapons that you can pick up off the str...
