Last month Konami already confirmed the game would be coming to the US; they just don't know when, outside of early 2009.
Justice League Heroes was pretty fun. It had issues, sure, but for a DC game it was spectacular.
I was such a stubborn kid I actually went and beat the game.
I'm surprised I could get through high school and college after that harrowing experience...
I have no idea what that's referencing. Is it even referencing a game, or is it just some random off-the-cuff thing?
To be fair, every six months someone predicts an upcoming PS3 price drop. It's not like HHG was the only person guessing we'd see a price cut in the new fiscal year.
Reviews alone won't have much of an effect on sales. In most cases, heavily advertised games that still get awful reviews still do relatively well. The ones that don't were usually already on-the-fence buys for people, and professional reviews are only a small part of what tips the scale. (Add in other gamers' impressions, anecdotal stories from friends, how the demo plays, etc.)
FINALLY you understand!
It's going to be a long time until blank BR media and burners become standard fare, so until then I really don't think it's worth keeping an eye on the BR piracy scene.
the box art already gives off that vibe. I'd hate to think of real sports fans who own Wiis buying a Wii sports game because they thought it would be as good as the titles on other consoles, just with waggle control.
So it's impossible to not enjoy something because most other people do?
If everyone enjoyed the same games the world would be a very, very boring place.
Is that really any different than people hating Gears of War 2 for being "the same game" and hate on its graphics for being overly gray? While I think the graphics engine in KZ2 is phenomenal, I'm really enjoying seeing people who have made comments bashing GoW2 for being gray laughing at someone who makes the same claim about their own system's title.
That's awesome seeing a company that listens to the gamers AND takes the time to actually read and reply to email. Of course, if they were as big as say, EA, I doubt they could do that...
On one hand I want them to get bigger to have more success... On the other I want them to stay small so they can keep being so cool...
I've been waiting to get some more info and impressions on this game for quite a while now. Can't wait until I can actually try it out.
I was a little put off by the Gaia connection too, but after trying it out, it's pretty entertaining. I doubt I'll replace WoW or LotRO with it anytime soon, but I've found a new game to play during slow times at work. Sorry, mahjong.
I would be more surprised if EGM stays in print for another year than if it gets canned and moved to 1Up only. Subscriptions have been dropping, most people get their news/reviews/features on the Internet now anyway, and all of the free subscription offers floating around certainly don't help with matters.
In today's "I'm going to sue over any- and everything to make quick money" world it took this long for people to come up with the idea of suing Harmonix/EA/MTV/Viacom over the drum pedals?
It's sort of impressive in a way...
Obviously, I'm with you guys. Most of the people who play WoW are fine, but a few outlandish stories like the ones mentioned in The Sun and some doctors becoming worried about teens playing too much, and suddenly everyone's an addict.
I'm not going to say there aren't some people who seriously need help; look at the friend of that Trevor guy in the article's comments. But for the most part, the hardcore WoW-playing people I know aren't any more addicted to WoW than other people ...
But it's still impressive. Of course, it's LESS impressive than it was before I found out...
2K was the far superior franchise, and when it directly competed with Madden (especially when 2K released it for $20) Madden was the best it's been in ages. The exclusive deal may have given EA a monopoly on the NFL money, but it retarded the growth of one of their most prolific franchises.
My biggest hope is that courts rule EA does have a monopoly, and other people can make NFL games again. Even if 2K stays out of it, there are plenty of developers who could make a product whi...
