Dream big, and one day you too can make 40 cents per virtual shirt sold.
The question is, will Vechey be playing 1 on 2, will Gabe and Tycho have to decide who plays, or will PopCap bring in a surprise doubles partner? The drama!
Decent? Pure is one of the most underrated games of this gen so far. Didn't get nearly the love it deserved.
First off, that's an incredibly inane thing to whine about. Have you read any newspapers or non-gaming/entertainment magazines, whoever it was that wrote this article? A vast majority of mainstream and non-topical publications put gaming related stories under tech. It's not that big of a deal.
Second, if you're going to split an article into two extremely short pages to get the most pageviews, at least throw some pictures in to make it look less obvious.
Looks like they just gave up trying to save face and are now going to pretend the mistake ever happened.
"Starting today, owners of the pricey PlayStation 3 — there are nearly 17 million of them worldwide — can download the software for free via Sony's PlayStation Network, which connects the game consoles on the Net so users can play one another."
"Boss, people keep sending me messages that the information is wrong."
"What? No, it's right."
"But the stats they're sending--"
"Just throw in 'for the month of October' right after 200,000 and don't change a single other thing. It will be fine. Trust me. I'm an editor at TIME."
I'm just glad we didn't have to wait until 2009 to see updates again. It's not often Valve does stuff EARLIER than they said they would, but when they do it's glorious.
The worst part is that I'm still not even done playing the regular Fallout 3. If some good mods start coming out, I may never escape it...
Same here. I have one of the newer bands that came with a new remote I bought, but my other three are all launch ones and haven't had any problems. As long as you don't flail your arm around spasmodically trying to break it, it won't break.
I can understand why people are suing Nintendo over this (i.e. people love to sue to make money), but I really hope they stop soon. Nintendo already replaced the straps and sent out better ones for free. And if people are swinging the remote so hard that it snaps even if they're told NOT to do that, that's their own fault.
So the PS3 has sold 200k in the US, the XBOX has sold 34 million worldwide, and the adorable Wii has sold 68 million?
It's like Time is trolling fanboys for traffic!
I couldn't agree more. It's refreshing to see people handling business and games like this--and achieving success by doing so--in this day and age.
I liked it better when Netflix just let you pick Blu-ray or DVD without paying more each month.
Alt, troll, or (God forbid) actual VGTilt fan?
Jerry Yang is leaving Yahoo and already became (and quit being) the CEO of Microsoft? Talk about being good at what you do!
Ditto. LucasArts' history in game development is so varied and spawned such different times that it's going to be a hell of a read when Amazon mails it out.
I just wish we WOULD get games like the Monkey Island series on XBLA so more people could experience them :(
Yes, it sucks that thousands of people are going to lose their jobs. But according to all reports, the cuts are happening in Sony's electronics division. Their gaming division is supposed to break even or become profitable next year and then only generate money from then on, so I doubt this will have any impact on PlayStation.
Awful story editing on N4G aside, this is common practice. It's an unwritten rule: don't talk too much about the story when you review games, movies, and books. But sometimes, companies like to send a list of specific points NOT to talk about, because while you don't consider it a spoiler others might.
Big deal. There's no reason to get upset that people want to preserve the story for people who play the game when it comes out.
As someone with a fulltime job and a family to take care of, games falling in the 8-15 hour range are the perfect length. I hate getting longer games (like RPGs) and then losing interest because I haven't beaten them after a month of playing.
Just when I thought there couldn't be a worse feud than Sessler vs Pereira.
