Yeah, because everyone who writes on a video game blog should have been able to spend $600 bucks on a launch PS3. How dare people wait for a more reasonable price!
Every convention I've been to has at least one 360 RRoD. Convention displays are set up to be as compact and space efficient as possible, and that almost always means stuffing the 360 into a tight space with little ventilation.
I think the REAL story is how Microsoft continually fails to realize they need to let the 360 have some circulation, or it's going to red ring and end up all over the Internet.
Buying a PS2 may let you play PS2 games, but playing them on a PS3 where the graphics are slightly improved and you have one less console/set of wires/controllers to worry about is a big plus.
I love my PS3 to death, but I've gotten far more use out of it as a console to watch movies and play PS2 games than PS3 games. (And I DO play plenty of PS3 games on it, so don't worry.)

Interesting. I didn't realize so much was required on the board for the PS2 games to play.
Same here. I love having co-op campaigns, but then again having multiplayer of any sort is better than just being a single player FPS.
Having played various preview builds, it's an awesome PSP game. Definitely a reason to take the PSP out of the drawer it got stuffed in :)
The first Halo took most people 6-8 hours to beat, unless you played it on Legendary.
I fully agree. If I were still in high school, I'd want more. But with a job, family, and all sorts of odds and ends to take care of every day, 10 hours is the perfect length for any game.
Especially when I already know the multiplayer is going to last me way longer than that :)

I for one wouldn't mind a couple of weeks of sporadic scrolling advertisements if it meant I could get $200 keyboards for 1/4 the cost.

Isn't this like the fourth or fifth time two high profile 360/PS3 games had fanboys take down the other's score prior to release?
Someone contact me when fanboys DONT inflate or deflate review scores based on what they like more.
Driver updates: the catch-all solution suggested by everyone who doesn't know what they're talking about.
The Jackal Curse in Far Cry 2 isn't just a driver issue. Could drivers be mainly at fault? Definitely. But all of the people who had the same errors updated drivers, reinstalled drivers, uninstalled drivers, etc. and all for nothing. It's not even happening to people with the same hardware set-ups. It, like most modern PC game issues, is a mystery.

The people buying Wiis are the people with children, or who don't normally play games. There's not really any mystery surrounding it at all.

How many people trashing the game actually played one of the Way of the Samurai titles? They're by no means super awesome games, but the original Way of the Samurai was one of my favorite PS2 experiences.
They may look like crap, but the gameplay more than made up for it.
The NA release date got bumped up a little bit ago. Now it's coming to North America on February 24 instead of March 3.
