So many of these games out there, most I never got to play. At the time, I remember Final Fight on the Mega CD which had an extra level or something, but I played the arcade version on CAPCOM Collection on the PS2 years go. Also Final Fight 2 on the Super NES, but it didn't hold up to the first game. Played many games on the C64 such as Renegade, Target Renegade and one of the Double Dragon games, but can't remember which one. But back then, arcade games didn't hold up well on...
I don't care about Nintendo consoles now. I couldn't care less who makes what console. Just go multi format and sell 50+ million Mario Kart games.
Still, I don't understand the point of Nintendo consoles. As with every company that's out there, Nintendo are in it for the money. More money made making their games available on all formats, including PC, mobiles, tablets and laptops. I have a Switch that's constantly docked, so how about a plug in console that takes cards? I don't want to play games on a small screen.
Xbox has been pants going back to Xbox One. Series X not much of a follow on. Game releases have been dire. PS4 to PS5 not far off either. When was the last time we saw anything ground breaking on both consoles? We've bought these consoles and have been sitting ducks.
Honest, it looks boring. Wait until it's selling for £10 or less in Computer Exchange.
At £60 ($75), it’s not a launch day buy. £40 tops or l buy used.
$70 = £55, yet games sell for £70 here. Must have money to burn to pay that. Nintendo Switch games here topping £60. Anything over £40, it's game over for me. But most games I buy are used. Pick most of them up when the dogs are barking at them. Never in any rush, plus I work full time, so don't get a lot of time to play games. Fair enough, games for the Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive topped £70, even more for import games. Even NES and Master System ...
You can only buy it from Sony in the UK.
So it's never going to be available to buy from stores then? Imagine if that was the case with everything we buy. And some people can't afford to pay cash and rely on a buy now, pay later option.
Or the fact that it's costly having each console if you're mad on gaming. Never been bothered about a PC, but have always had 3 to 5 consoles at a time. At one point, I had a Dreamcast, Xbox, PS2, GameCube and whatever Nintendo handheld was out there at the time. It's never going to happen, but having one format then you choose which brand you want, be it Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft. As someone else mentioned on here a few years ago, this doesn't happen in the movie indust...
Can only buy it from Sony in the UK. Absolutely shocking.
Will never forget the PS launch September 1995. The PS start up screen, loading up Wipeout. RIP, Mr. Okada.
In the UK, you can only buy it from Sony direct. Not available from any retailers.
Never played this on the Wii, but £50 on the Switch, I'll have to pass. Remakes, re-releases or whatever you call these games, it's just another cash cow exercise.
Can only order this from Sony in the UK. Gutted as l was looking to buy this on credit as I don’t have £530+. Will be a typical shortage, so I’ll have to wait two years or something. Won’t come close to PS4 VR sales due to the high price. But in the back of my mind, I’m thinking it’ll be swamped with mediocre games like PS4 VR.
Best selling handheld console, as the Switch is a handheld?
Or the fact that the Switch is hitting its limit. I work for a major retailer in the UK and we sell nowhere near as many. Stock is bulked to the ceiling. Even game sales have dried up.
Totally agree.
Looks like the Switch is heading for one of the best selling handheld consoles of all time. The Switch is a handheld console, not a home console. As mentioned previously, the SEGA Nomad and Sony PSP both being handheld consoles, could both be connected to a TV screen. It's a no brainer comparing Switch sales to PS5 and Xbox Series X sales.
Will Nintendo make the same mistake with Wii to Wii U? Switch 2 launches at well over the price of the OLED Switch and most gamers will take a step back. Keep banging on with the current Switch and most gamers prefer the same old every year. More Splatoon, Mario Kart, Pilowings and Wave Race are well overdue, 2D Mario, Mario Galaxy 3 and/or Mario Sunshine 2, Blastcorps 2, 1080 Snowboarding and sequels to plenty of other games would keep the Switch going for years. Zelda on Switch is a Wii...
