Very underrated game. I played it on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but the PS3 version suffered from slowdown. The arcade mode is awesome. Not sure if there was any DLC released for it, but it seems Rockstar prefer to milk GTA 5 to near death. Low and behold, GTA 5 is now being released on PS5. I'd go as far as saying that Max Payne 3 was the best in the series, although Max Payne and Max Payne 2 are games that I'd like to see revamped. Surprised Rockstar didn't release Max Payne DL...
I still don't get this head to head. Home console versus home console is justified, but home console versus handheld? How did Xbox 360 sales fair against PSP sales in 2006? A pointless comparison. The Switch replaced the 3DS, not the Wii U.
But we get this every time with pre console launches, more so Gran Turismo. Played every game in the Turismo series and after Turismo 4, it was a mess. Forza tramples Turismo graphically, more so on X. VR on Turismo Sport was tragic. Fingers crossed for VR2.
I must be one of the rare few that’s not in any rush to play this. Will hold out for the PS5 version. Days Gone will probably be ported over also.

After Turismo 4, the series was a graphical mess. To this day, l don’t know how it was released on the PS3. The update didn’t do it any favours. That continued with Turismo Sport, VR was dire. I thought it’d get another chance on PS5, but up pops Turismo 7. There wasn’t much shown, but we all know what to expect. Same situation with Forza. Same old tracks, which has become painful. Porsche Challenge was awesome on the PS and deserves a sequel.
A new Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer and Wipeout. After Wipeout on the PS2, it wasn’t the same. EA needs to change the record, Road Rash and Shox, not forgetting the Strike games. CAPCOM, Maximo and Powerstone. Plenty of old games need to be brought back for next gen, but I’m afraid there’ll be plenty of the same old. PGR is another. Top 3 for me would be Wave Race 4, Powerstone 3 and Road Rash 27, or whatever number it was up to!
But look at how much people pay for mobile phones. Is £499 tops for a next gen console expensive?.....
Launch price debates, who loves them?!. One of the best examples was the Saturn at £399 with Virtua Fighter. I never owned a 3DO, but apparently, that was £499 at launch, maybe £599. Best console launch price in my life time was the Super NES with 2 controllers and Super Mario World for £149. The PS4 Pro launched at £349, Xbox One X at £429, so it’s easy to work out how much next gen consoles are going to cost. And as we all know, we’ve had a taste of 4K gami...
Not day one for me. I'll probably pick this up after I've hammered The Last of Us 2. I just don't think samurai games are worth full whack.
Can't seem to get into NES games. Can't really fault Super NES games, but most are games that I wouldn't bother with. Never played Wild Guns and it still looks playable. I'd like to see the Final Fights (I never got to play Final Fight 3). UN Squadron, Rock 'n' Racing, Legend of the Mystical Ninja. Maybe Game Boy games will surface. My wife works for a major retailer in the UK and it's not selling too well. £50 tops, £48 discounted, which is dire. Maybe people have taken a step back after buying games during COVID-19. I still have plenty of games to finish. Still, I'm holding out for the PS5 version. Same with Cyberpunk and a few others.
