You look at Wii to Wii U, can't help but think it's going to go the same way with Switch to Switch 2. Nintendo has gone from having two consoles out there to one, but a handheld connected to a TV concept was out there with the SEGA Nomad and PSP. Technology moves and lightning speeds these days. Nintendo falling behind as the years pass. Yes, the Switch is a handheld, not a home console. A totally pointless exercise comparing it to PS5 and Series X sales.
Loved Ocean games on C64 and Spectrum. Also US Gold, Imagine and Elite. Goes without saying legendary days of gaming.
Looked top dollar at the time, storyline decent, but controls dire. The second game went backwards and didn’t look nowhere near as good as the first game. Sony canned the third game on the PS3. A third game surely must be on the cards for the PS5.
This sort of thing has been going on for years at Nintendo. Game Over by David Sheff was a big eye opener.
Nintendo fell on its face with the Wii U and l do wonder how it’s going to go with Switch to Switch 2. Will Switch 2 follow the same path as Wii U? I don’t care about Nintendo consoles anymore, just the games. One day, Nintendo will be forced into the SEGA route. Mario Kart on PC, PlayStation and Xbox would hit Goliath sales. Seems Nintendo only likes to make back poc...
Knock it out for something like £19.99 or £24.99 and it’ll generate so many sales, they’d go dizzy. Look at sales figures of even Nintendo games. Knock those cards out for under £29.99, pull in more money. Too many people buying used games that hammer new games sales also. Many AAA games hit low figures. Why can’t games hit 20 million plus? It’s not rocket science.
The Mega Drive games are legendary, more so European Tour. After that, the series sort of died.
At £70 tops, Sony, you’re having a big laugh down at HQ.
Let me know when you start yawning after you realise it’s more of the same from start to finish 😆
I play mine docked, still feels like I’m playing on a Wii U with a controller. The Wii U desktop was much better. You look at all those Wii U ports, to me, the Switch is like a Wii U 2. Makes you wonder how many Switch games could run on the Wii U that goes back to 2012.
Watch reviews and game play videos, it’s hardly changed. No game in the series has come close to Turismo 3 or 4 on the PS2. Cardboard backdrops and still those cardboard trees. £70 on the PS5 and you get old tracks, but new ones are coming soon. Even Forza throws out the same old tracks. They just don’t get it. Arcade racers have died. Project Gotham, Ridge Racer and something new from SEGA to break up the painfully tiring racing genre.
So, another copy and paste game then?
Run about, hack and slash, fight a boss, enter and castle or a cave, smash some barrels. Am l missing something here?
But still, £70 is a rip off.
Another typical FromSoftware game. Why is the hype on a Goliath scale?
Great idea, but after playing it, it bored me until l fell asleep.
They all look amazing.
Well said 👍
At £60 on PS4 and £70 on PS5, even discounted, l had to put this on my I’ll get this when its old and cheap used list. Sony upping PS4 game prices so there’s only a £10 price difference with PS5 games is a joke. Nice try, Sony.
What, for $500/£500? New franchises? Sequels to games that have been left to gather dust such as Pilotwings, Wave Race and F-Zero. I wish Nintendo would just do a SEGA as I couldn't care less about Nintendo consoles now.
