I couldn’t care less what console l play games on. Microsoft’s only console success was the Xbox 360 and that came with the RRoD fiasco. The cost of gaming has been getting out of hand for years, £70+ for games, paid DLC and £200+ for controllers as examples. Phil Spencer lost it years ago. Microsoft, just put games on Sony and Nintendo consoles.
Microsoft = weird company.
Never played this due to being online only.
Just a typical running about hack ‘n’ slash game. Let it get old then pick it up cheap.
I avoid games like the plague when they include boss fights that are almost endless. As you get older, your patience power wears off.
As with Nintendo in the UK, it’s not a big market anymore. HQ now in Germany. It’s basically all PlayStation and Xbox.
I last powered up my Xbox Series X around 18 months ago. Microsoft need to sort out Windows and forget about Xbox console. Windows died after XP and Xbox died after the 360. Knock out games for PC and PlayStation and develop VR games.
I started with Pong, then micro computers in the 1980s and 1990s. First console was a Mega Drive/Super NES. Today, nothing comes close. Last generation I enjoyed was Xbox 360/PS3, although I didn't play PS3 much.
Gaming as a kid is a lot different than being an adult.
Also because people keep buying the same rubbish every year. Yearly updates at £70 a pop.
I agree, but too much of more of the same.
What a joke. I read this every year. I certainly won't be buying an Xbox again.
A sequel to Fighters Mega Mix, throwing in a mass of SEGA characters.
Yeah, new Virtua Fighter is well overdue. SEGA GT, although every game in the series wasn't too good. Virtua Racing 2, Daytona USA with every track in the series and includes Scud Race tracks as that was basically a Daytona USA clone. Baku Baku Animal on the Saturn was a top game, a sequel is due. Some people will be asking for a new SEGA Rally, but it died when 2006 was released, Revo was decent. Still holding out for Over Jump Rally, but can't see SEGA taking it on. Sonic Adve...
So, plenty of PS4 and Xbox One games then.
Surprised Splatoon and Paper Mario on Wii U didn't get ported to the Switch.
Was a half decent game, more so if you picked it up cheap. Used, it goes for £8. The price will creep up when the sequel is released. Typical Sony game, flash graphics, running about, shooting etc. Sony are clinically obsessed with this genre. Give PS5 owners an updated Driveclub. On the PS4, I expected a Motorstorm trilogy.
Wasn't impressed.
Some great magazines have been and gone. Was gutted when CVG magazine ended, then the website years later. EGM and Gamepro also. Console farewells are worse.
There you have it folks, the reason why I'll never be ripped off with games cost £70 and paid DLC.
But what about the games? Never known a generation like it for lack of releases. The PS5 has already gone up in price, VR2 is stuck with lack of games. Sony are laughing at us.
