Everything in this comment is just a "cut & paste" of comments from other posts. What was the point? It doesn't make any sense. Wish a moderator out there would just remove it as its really wasting space. I can see why this moron has 1 bubble and even that is too many.
Wow, troll much?
Kinect is a step backwards and waste of MS resources. Why didn't they take that cash and buy some new first party studios to produce some new IP's? After Halo Reach and Gears 3, what's in the pipeline? Seems like they are completely abandoning the core to go after Nintendo's casual audience.
Good job! Don't know how the author missed that.
Wow, I have never seen a more appropriate name for a troll. Oh, I'm not poor and am primarily a PC gamer with a PS3 as a "sidekick"....I just don't like paying to play online. And the cost increase is completely unjustified: MS made $1.6 billion off of XBL in the last 12 months with an estimated 65% margin. Why raise the price? Because they know they have a "captive audience" and their customers will most likely not be switching to another console or PC because the...
Unfortunately, because of that great price, it is not in stock at this time. Doesn't look like they'll "rain-check" it either, so, if interested, you'll need to get on the "e-mail when its available" list.
"There's also the question of upgrades. Every part in gaming has a window of between 6-12 months, after which it becomes obsolete. This is because new games released every year can be played only on the latest parts. They just don't work on old configurations. So the motherboard needs to have the capability to survive these biannual part upgrades."
That paragraph from the article is complete bunk. Obsolete in 6-12 months? Games just won't work on older c...
OK, cool. I see that the correction was made and now the title makes sense.
Wow, the title is confusing and doesn't make any sense: "PSLS : Disaster Report 4 on the Move to PS3". I get the PSLS stands for playstationlifestyle, but what does the rest of it mean? I see PS3 and Move in there and think its something to do with that. However, when you actually go to the article, its all about a possible name for the Red Dead Redemption sequel. Huh?
Nice. How about APB = All Points Bad
I agree, it could well be the 2011 shooter of the year. However, there is one possible wildcard: Battlefield 3. If BF3 is not delayed and truly is released in 2011, it will also be a contender for shooter of the year. As much as I liked KZ2, I logged way more hours on BF2, so BF3 is also high on my list. If they make it like BF2 + BFBC2 (but larger), it will be epic. And, before you guys "fry" me, please understand that I like both. Its just that BF2 was released in 2005, so we'...
"Doesn't seem to be impressing anyone". Huh, all the reviews I've seen have been pretty good while, with the Kinect, all I see is mostly "fail" articles (did you see that atrocious "physics demo"?...yikes was that bad). The writer also says that the Move "can now get crappy Wii titles". I think he has the Kinect and Move mixed up. Kinect is the one getting all the Wii-type games because that's just about all its good for. Where are the core ...
I don't think any of the current consoles are allowed to be sold in China. Not really fair competition, if they only allow their console, but that's the way China does things sometimes.
Not really fair competition by the Chinese, though. They currently don't allow any of the other consoles in their market, so the "Ebox" will basically have the China market to themselves. Once this thing gets released, what will be their excuse why the other consoles aren't allowed to be sold in China? They better open their market when it gets released.
Don't think the disagrees are for the question, but rather for the "why do you come onto a xbox page just to troll" comment.
Got to agree with you there. 2010 from MS: 1) lack of new exclusives shown at E3, Gamescom and the coming TGS, 2) over-focus on Kinect and the casual market, 3) increasing XBL subscription price despite earning $1.6 billion off of the service in the last 12 months with a 65% profit margin. Yep, got to agree that this wasn't the best year for the author to pick. 2007, 2008 or 2009 would have been a better choice.
To the 360 fans disagreeing. Please tell me how you are being "dazzled" with the Kinect and not disappointed with the direction that MS is going: spending large amounts of cash on Kinect (plus its soon to come large marketing campaign) in a vain attempt to capture the casual audience. Wouldn't you rather see that money spent on acquiring new first party studios and producing new IP's/exclusives? Seriously, you like this strategy? Wow, and I thought you guys were core gamers....
Quote from the article: "Microsoft starting off 2010 by dazzling its fans with the Xbox Kinect - formerly Project Natal. Nintendo had already brought motion controlled gaming to the world and Sony was introducing a motioned controller as well, but no one was prepared for what Microsoft had in the works. The Xbox Kinect shocked the world by being the first gaming peripheral that made gaming possible without some controller of some sort."
Huh?! Didn't the EyeToy a...
Please note, I did not mention the Move, so why do you bring that up? The article was about the shovelware on the Kinect. But since you brought it up, the Move does have games coming that aren't shovelware and are not "remapped": Sorcery, Ruse, KZ3, Socom4, LBP2 just to name a few. Also, I think the fact that Move can be patched and "remapped" is a definite plus in its favor.
Kinect games have to be made for it specifically and we can all see the limit...
We have no idea of what it's about or if it will be any good. My comment was on why didn't MS get some new first party studios with the Kinect money.
