Well, if you have a console, you actually need Hulu plus, but you're just proving my point. Why do you need this app? If you have Hulu, you can already get these shows. If you have cable, you can already get both these channels. And, if you've cut the cord like I've done, you can still stream these to your TV with a PC or laptop and get full access (not some stripped down version). These apps look pretty useless to me. Seems like they'd be better for a smartphone instead of a ...
What's the point? These are stripped down apps and you still need to pay for XBL Gold in order to access them.
"Don’t get too excited yet, cord cutters — you’ll still need to have a cable subscription in order to access the content library in the Nickelodeon app."
"The Comedy Central app hitting the Xbox 360 today isn’t what you might be expecting. It’s not an on-demand app for the whole Comedy Central network. Instead, it plugs you into th...
Another would be BF4. Current gen will only have 24 players and stripped down graphics, like BF3. However, next gen systems will get to play the 64 player version with high end graphics that only PC gamers got to enjoy last time around.
Funny one! Bubbled you up for making me laugh.
You and me both. I happen to like that Sony isn't forcing us to buy the gimmicky motion control since it doesn't interest me in the least.
So his Gamerscore is his reason to get an Xbox One. Yep, that is pretty idiotic especially since he pretty much admits that the PS4 is the logical choice. I have Steam plus a PSN account and achievements/trophies are very low on my list for playing games. I thought we played them for enjoyment.
Especially him adding in the Move since the PS4 controller already has Move functionality. Makes his argument even less compelling.
@Mystogan, his math is very flawed as Kydawg and I explained above. Using his assumptions about "full use" (even though most of us don't want the gimmicky motion control), the price comparison should be $510 for the PS4 ($400 for the system + 60 for the Eye + 50 for PS+). Move is not needed since the PS4 controller functions as a Move. Add up his list for the Xbox One and you get $610. We're still at the original $100 difference and, YES, that is a big difference. Price does...
WOW! Same comment now for a fourth time in this thread. Troll much?
Geeze. Copy and paste the same comment three times already. Most gamers don't want the gimmicky crap and like how Sony isn't forcing it on us.
The problem with your math is that you assume people want that gimmicky motion gaming crap. Most gamers don't, so we're back to the $100 difference. I have no desire for a Kinect or a Move+Eye.
EDIT: @Gildarts, actually no, your math is still flawed because of what Kydawg pointed out. You have the PS4 at $450 when its $400, so your total should be $570. Kydawg also pointed out that the PS4 controller has the Move capabilities, so the actual total is $520. Plus you cou...
Have to agree. Make a Kinect-less Xbox One and price it at $399 or less and then I'd also be interested.
@Spoons, I thought that PS+ has cloud storage...something like a gig or two? It would actually accomplish the same thing as MS's "unlimited cloud storage". Since saves, profiles, etc. don't take much space, having "unlimited cloud storage" is just PR speak. It sounds much more impressive than it actually is.
"Free Unlimited cloud HDD storage (no need to buy a new hard drive if it runs out of space)." Not really true. You can store saves, profiles and such in the cloud, but those kind of things don't take much memory. However, you can't install a game in the cloud and could run out of HDD space if you have a lot of games, movies, etc.
It's a 180 because MS didn't have it included at first and now it will be. They were figuring that the Kinect would take over that role. What does the Xbox 360 have to do with it? I think it is good that they are now including it, but it is still a 180.
I have to agree. $25 is way too much money for a mono headset! You can get a decent stereo one for that much. Well, at least for the PC. MS accessories tend to be very overpriced. Will the PS4 still allow any USB headset like the PS3 did? If so, that would be nice. Their included headset is also mono, but I have a couple of USB headsets for my PC.
I read the article and thought the same thing. However, in the video, the guy says that MS is now including it. Will the 180's ever stop? I'm still waiting for the Xbox One without Kinect 180. Then, and only then, would I ever consider buying a Xbox One. The Kinect doesn't interest me in the least, I don't want to pay extra for it, and I don't like that it has to be connected for the machine to even work.
Yikes! $75 for a controller with an extra charge kit! $25 for a mono headset?! Looks like MS is still pricing their accessories very high.
I have to agree. For me, I stopped playing COD games after COD4:MW because of killstreaks. They encourage camping over PTFO (playing the f'ing objective). COD games just became "campfests" and players only concerned with their K/D ratios. I went to Battlefield after that and never looked back.
MS has done so many 180's with the Xbox One, I'm starting to get dizzy. Someone pass me a bucket, I think I'm going to hurl. What's next? A Kinectless Xbox One? How about a name change? Xbox One was always kind of stupid.
