@Alethian, fairness, in this context, would be comparing the PS4 version with the Xbox One version since there isn't a PC version. It's comparing an old build with a new build.
@deadfrag, you are one of the few who seem to get it. The comparison isn't really fair since there is no Definitive Version for the PC. If there was, we both know the PC version would look better.
@GribbleGrunger, you are right about the different versions, but the comparison isn't really fair since the PC doesn't have the Definitive Version. It's like comparing the PS3/X360 version with this new, Definitive Version for the PS4/Xone. Of course it looks better; it better damn look better. However, if there was a Definitive Version for the PC, my bet is it would look better just like the previous version was best on PC.
Got to agree with you. Destiny is looking better and better. 6v6 with AI bots just doesn't interest me.
@Eonjay, seriously, all the other players are AI bots? What about the PC version? Surely it can handle more than 6v6. C'mon Respawn. This is supposed to be next-gen. AI bots are so 1990's. We want human players. Give us at least 12v12 and cap the number of Titans on each side. Then we could have a good mix of Titans and soldiers on a map.
@Concertoine, I thought it was already confirmed to be running at 720p on Xbox One. I was going to get it for PC, but I may pass on it now with this disappointing news. If this is a $60 MP only game, then I'll really be disappointed.
I agree. Sounds like its just going to be COD with mechs. Hugely disappointing news.
I was going to get this for the PC, but if it's only 6v6, I may pass on it. Sounds like it's just going to be COD with mechs. Getting tired of the small maps with twitch shooting. Give us bigger maps, more players and some objectives. Might have to wait for Titanfall 2. Or, maybe, DICE could give us a 2142 sequel.
I don't know about that. How about this quote from the article:
"While the PC’s average Metascore was at 69.1, the platform saw the highest amount of exclusive games--a whopping 45 in total--that aggregated at 75 or higher. The platform with the second highest was the PlayStation 3, with eight."
And console gamers are always saying that the PC doesn't have good exclusives. 45 PC games at 75 score or better compared to 8 for the PS3 (the seco...
@jackanderson, well I don't like MS as well, but that doesn't automatically make me a Sony fanboy. I prefer PC gaming myself; however, I do like having a console for the living room for when guests come by. For my purposes, the PS3 was ideal since I do all my MP gaming on PC and I don't want to pay to access my apps, like Hulu+ and Netflix. Plus I like to stream stuff from my PC. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay MS $50-60 a year for the privilege.
I just...
I think that is just your Xbox fanboy showing through. Just because William Usher says something that you don't agree with doesn't automatically make him a Sony fanboy. Look at his recent comparison of GT6 vs Forza 4. He rips on GT6. By your logic, that now makes him a Xbox fanboy?

My favorite genres are FPS and RTS. I just think they are far superior on the PC platform due to the KB/M. RTS, in particular, are pretty bad on consoles, if you can find one. I do like having a console as a sidekick, though, so I don't miss out some other genres I like. The previous generation, I had a PS3 so I could play the Uncharted series, Red Dead Redemption and The Last of Us plus some others. I also like having a console for local MP fun with sports and racing games (4 player FIFA...
But MS is forcing everyone to buy it. What's the point of the thing then? I thought that including it with every Xbox One that then developers would be putting it in their games. If they are not, then why do we have to buy one with the thing. And don't tell me for the voice commands...that can be done with any mic and cheaper, too. Seems to me that MS should just offer a Xbox One SKU without the Kinect for people who don't want it and would like to save themselves a $100 or so. Th...
No one bats 1,000. Not every invention of Edison was a success nor every theory of Einstein. Microsoft is no different...may I remind you of Vista and Zune. They may have smart people working for them, but they make mistakes as well. Even with the Xbox One, they made plenty of mistakes with the unveiling: DRM, the always on requirement, used games restrictions, etc.
"I rather play with 100% dedicated servers any day." This is very true, but I'd still rather be playing a different game. Can't believe the PC version still doesn't have dedicated servers. I think COD4 was the last one. Why people buy this junk for PC is beyond me.
PS4 version is 1080p native while Xbox One is 720p native upscaled to 1080p which contributes to jaggies and a more blurred picture (compared to PS4/PC). However, I believe I read that the Xbox One version was the only one with dedicated servers. I think the article stated that the PS4/PC versions both use the completely outdated host system. There is a server, but it only picks the best ping as host. Activision stated that next gen versions would be getting dedicated servers, but, SURPRISE, ...
Wow! Call of Duty Ghosts and Next-Gen in the same sentence? Nothing in the new COD is next gen. Riley the dog?! Super advanced fish AI?! PC version still doesn't have dedicated servers and it's 2013. Xbox One version is 720p and full of jaggies. Ya, a real next gen title there. Stopped reading after that.
Why limit yourself? I have a PC and a PS3. It's a great combo and I get the best of both worlds: Sony exclusives + PC exclusives + usually the better version of multiplats (ie. Battlefield is best on PC). Plus, some games I like better on PC: FPS, RTS, turn based strategy (I just believe these games are best with KB/M). And I like some games better on PlayStation: Racing and sports (these are great games for the living room with a group of friends). I also enjoy Uncharted, The Last of Us ...
I think the answer to your question is that the majority of PC sales are digital and not included in the sales figures that VG Chartz and NPD use. I seriously doubt there is a 20 to 1 advantage. For example, look at EA's sales and you will see that they have higher revenue from PC than any single console.
Now before anyone screams "PC fanboy", I game on a PC and a PS3 (I'll get a PS4 once the price comes down or when the better exclusives come out). I prefer...
Don't they also own the Company of Heroes series now as well? That's two great RTS games right there. You are right: "The power of RTS is strong with SEGA!"
