So just because it has a battle system similar to KH?... That's stupid man.
I'm pretty sure Final Fantasy isn't the first game to use the turn based battle system yet I don't see you complaining about that in FF articles.
How is it a KH game?
If you want to have video games that are 100% according to your wishes, feel free to study video game design and make games on your own, you're obviously interested enough in them and have some ideas.
Or gather the likes like you who have the same wishes, collect money and pay someone to make a game for you.
Seriously, games are alternate realities. Imagine you would take all the elements like racism, brutality, violence, gore, sexism (aka negative elem...
@DragonKnight
It wasn't really strategic. They might as well have inserted an auto button into the old ffs, cause pressing x is enough. The only strategy you needed was in boss battles.
I didn't like ff13's battle system, but objectively it was more difficult and had a better sense of strategy than the old turn based systems.
Because the turn based FFs were so difficult.
Hmm considering how a lot of Japanese guys already to dress ups as girls...very convincing one I could see how they could pull it off though xD
Actually it hasn't been. True, it's their fault they announced it so early, but the PS3 couldn't handle it. Look at the FFversus13 trailer from 2011 and look at the trailer from last year. I am ready to wait if the change is that immense.
And dude, calm down, it's a game. You know you're gonna buy it anyways no matter when it comes out.
Yeah, but at times when graphics weren't that great they could pull it off cause you saw some blocks acting stupid and it was funny. Nowadays it wouldn't fit, add such an element to a serious story and it would lose it's seriousness.
It reminds me of Metal Gear Solid. As much as I loved the story I never took it serious because it was full of stupid stuff. I don't want that to happen to FFVII
But.. no, FFV has been released since 1992...
"I demand a quality final fantasy game but I'm pissed off when they take time to make it!"
You are aware that the game hasn't been in development for 8 years, right?
It wouldn't bring old fans. Okay maybe some. A lot left because of the change in battle system, and if they did a FF VII remake it would sure be an action rpg, not turn based. After all the 'We want to make battle in game look like Advent Children' there's no chance it would be turn based. So it would only piss off fans.
Also, the resources would be huuuge. Just try and imagine what it would take to build the world of FF VII. And what machine it would take to...
They will release the product when they feel like releasing it. Seriously, gamers today are so spoiled.
There's actually no spoilers in the thumbnail.
And when you start the article they warn of major spoilers several times...
If you still managed to get your game spoiled, the problem lies with you, not Kotaku
I don't see why anybody would be interested in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax if they haven't played Persona 4 -.-
If you get into a game series you would want to follow a chronological order -.- This is bs
Stop it already. As much capslocks as you use, whatever you write stays a piece of opinion and the chances to change someone else's are equal to none.
Just let people enjoy whatever they like for God's sake.
@Lolyta, your comment is a display of why people hate final fantasy veterans.
First of all, games like SF and Metroid are easy to obtain nowadays. You can't go soul sister mode and get all emotional talking about females who are big in games if you haven't played them and accompanied them on their journeys. You could have just got the games and played them if you hold their characters so high.
On that note, I love strong female characters, I do think games need more of that. As a male, I'd rather play a strong female lead than a bulked up ...
That's why I said games should be viewed as individual pieces. The first part of my comment was directed towards the article and 'How games like Journey outscore Watch Dogs." Watch dogs is very entertaining to me, but it wasn't a jaw dropper as Journey. Goat Simulator has an emotional value too. It makes you laugh and rofl like hell. Emotions aren't just love/sadness, happiness is one as well.
Within art there are different directions and you can't co...
A pile of shit will still be a pile of shit, even if you invest millions into it. It's about the emotional value. And this one is important I believe if we want games to be treated as art. Call of duty for example will never be art to me, while Journey is a masterpiece.
It's not about the graphics. Heck the best games ever for me are games from the ps1/ps2 era.
There's no right pattern to review games. Every game should be viewed on it's own...
I didn't say the whole game sucks, I was just pointing out that the article is right about the aspects of the game mentioned.
It's a fun game, just not that polished.
@GamePeace
You're being raped by jealousy, my son.
