Dude, Nomura left the game 2 years ago.
I wanna play as Prompto D: I love guns
Sure they can. When I was around 10 years old I played my first "real" video games (games with an actual story). They were Legend of Dragoon, FF 7,8 and 10 and some SMT games. And I watched Digimon at that time. I can confirm that the games heavily influenced my moral thinking.
Yeeaaah suuree. You were given an "assignment" to write this...totally believable. Btw, in the intro you said you were told to write a top 10 list, I only see 5. I guess you weren't able to make up more.
I don't see your points, of course you gotta cherrish the historic games, they paved the way for today's generation. And yeah, of course it's gameplay over graphics, it'll always be like that. And yeah, most American games are indeed shallow. En...
Just because it wasn't legally sold there doesn't mean you couldn't get one -.-
Weed is illegal in my country, still 90% of the people I know smoke it.
First, has no console troll ever heard of grammar and spelling? If you want to prove someone's stupid, you shouldn't seem like an idiot yourself.
And dude, stop making a fool out of yourself. Uncharted 3 sold over 6m. That's no sales to you? Killzone 3 sold about 2.6 units. As you seem to be pro Xbone, Forza 5, one of Xbox's more hyped games, sold 1.5m. Don't throw stones if you're in a glasshouse.
And you know, I play PS for great si...
Okay, I don't mind gambits as form of AI, I didn't mind the paradigm system, cause when I got bored of one character I had the option to switch to ANOTHER one. I had no problem with Lightning Returns since she was the only character, but this!?
What's the point of having a party if you can't switch between them. I'm actually coming to like the new battle system but this one thing still pisses me off majorly. They've done it in previous trailers so what...
It was ANNOUNCED in 2006. They scrapped development for the ps3 cause the ps3 wasn't strong enough.
They changed director's then and Tabata took over 2 years ago. They had the concept but nothing yet done. The 55-60% they are referring to was everything done in the last 2 years.
Get your facts right before complaining.
Not decade, last 2 years.
Someone noted in another comment section that the patent of the game states that there will be difficulty modes, an easy one with all this "casual" changes, and a more difficult one where you need to press buttons instead of hold them. I think this is the best way out, cause everyone can be satisfied this way.
The article writer is wrong in the beginning however. I understand that he doesn't like KH battle system, but honestly, most battles in FF can be won by ...
@gangsta and everyone else bringing in past FFs
This is not about how old titles played. FFversusXIII was introduced and we were promised that it will have a KH style battle system. Many anticipated this, even more after XIII, cause they wanted a change to a faster, action based system. In 2011 we were given footage how it would play, and it caused excitement. Last year we were given footage of it as FFXV and people kept their excitement cause they assumed no changes happen. ...
@roccetarius
That's what everyone's fed up about, everything that was Kingdom Heartish seems to be gone now.
@CaspuR
You sound like a graphic hoe. It's not only about how a game looks. FFXIII looked gorgeus... FFXV was anticipated because of the huge change in the battle system. Taking what was promised away doesn't seem like petty shit to me. The battles in the trailer do LOOK amazing, but keeping in mind that all the action is happening wh...
@chadwarden
Dude, no one hates change. Everyone actually anticipated XV for the change it was supposed to bring. The thing people are mad about is that we were promised one thing, and we're getting a totally opposite one. IMO they should have stuck with the concept they promised, and introduced Tabata's new system in the next installment. But this way, first they lost gamers who like turn based rpgs, now they lost gamers who anticipated the KH style FF.
Nope. Nomura had a clear vision of the game and we did know a few things that were going on. KH battle system, switching between characters, enemy weaknesses which needed using certain characters to exploit them. And that whole concept's in the trash now.
I wouldn't have the problem if this is what was indeed going on in the last 8 years. But we have been promised one thing, and now they are forcing something else on us, to make the game "more causal" (i.e....
Well I don't get the need for tactics to avoid being killed, and I don't get him in the part about approaching behemoth. If you have a defense button where Noct automatically evades all incoming hits, I don't see much challenge or tactics there.
I see people saying, FF never used to be about action and button mashing. It's not about what FF was, it's about what FFXV could have been.
In Type-0 you at least were part of the battle. You actually pressed buttons IN battle and needed some skills to win. Like what's the point really, the car drives itself, the battles fight themselves. Make it into a f-ing movie then. I really hoped for a game that would be difficult again and give you the satisfaction of beating it. But this seems worse than XIII...
I didn't say it's not FF, it is. I got nothing against fast paced either, I was hyped for that. But the info given is vague. Some say Noctis is only playable in the game, some say in the demo. Info on the battle system is causing confusion. I was hyped cause I wanted a game where I directly control the battle, where when I win, I would feel like I did it with my own skills. I do hope that potions and cure will be scarce, but I don't like the predictive based thing. Such a game fee...
It generated a lot of interest because people didn't know what was going on. While I had hopes in Nomura and his KH style game, I feel like Tabata is bad for this game. Noctis as the only playable character, how is that positive in any way??? FFXII had gambits, but you could at least play with all the characters. And this sounds worse than XIII. While I had the option to ignore the Auto button there, it seems like this time the Auto-attack button will be the only option.

You can teach them to use common sense to distinguish what's wrong and what's right. But really, you shouldn't try to raise them to like anything, cause you can't. If they get curious about drugs, being authoritative can be a motivation more to do it.
He's a troll. All he cares about is turn based battle systems while he's reassuring that it's not the only thing. But it is, he's just trolling cause whenever you ask him to go into detail and state other points, he doesn't reply anymore.
