Well since you're a fan of turn based combat no one gives 2 cents about your opinion on Action RPGS.
@Suplex, there's a difference between game and video game...
video game
noun
a game played by electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program on a monitor or other display.
So yes, this is a video game.
Final Fantasy is exactly a game with a story. Yes, every game has a story but Final Fantasy is a loved series cause it easily beat other games story wise. On the other hand, the battle system in most FF games was mediocre at best.
It sucks when it's too easy, it sucks when it's a tad of a challenge. Can't do anything right these days.
First reaction to reading the title: wtf?
Having the same name doesn't prevent it from being fictional. Unless there's resemblance there's no problem. I'm sure there's a Chris Redfield somewhere in the world, but that doesn't make the Chris from RE any less fictional.
After so long you still choose to believe that it's about the hair? And not insulting anyone? lol
I'm sure that's what people said about Queen Elizabeth I - A women wearing jewels and puffed dresses can't be strong. Yeah right.
They also banned show girls from car shows. I watched a documentary about it. As much as I agree that there's no need for them, a lot of girls will lose their job and some end up on the street because of the ban. They get payed between 3000-6000 dollars per show, for car shows at least. That's a lot to lose. Poor girls.
Same as if you choose to fight them, there should be a consequence. A good rpg game is where each of your choices matter.
Fans were worried the story changed too much with Tabata leading it. I think that's why this trailer was put up, as it contrasts the Duscae demo which had a kinda bright mood. They probably wanted to show that the game stayed true to the original dark theme.
You know that you don't have to hold down the buttons actually?...
You can press them in succession to chain combos. There are a lot of moves and combo attacks that need the right timing to execute.

Just cause it can be played without depth doesn't mean you have to play it without depth.
It was Romeo and Juliette because the story resembled the 'forbidden love because enemy families' concept. The old trailers even started with quotes by Shakespeare. They definitely felt more nostalgic and emotional than what we're shown now. Judging by Tabata's comments, all the romance is put second place in favor for a bro road trip...
Yeah, screw emotions, we want explosions. /s
There's nothing to whine about. Those who sacrificed their sleep to watch it are at their own fault. Seriously, they could just watch it whenever they found time. It's not like it will be shown only once and then deleted for ever.
No one cares.
Also, you bash FFXIII because it 'plays itself' but under another article you wrote that you love Suikoden. I don't quite get this since Suikoden also has an Auto option which is used for most random encounters. I don't see the logic there.
Except 12, 13 and LR didn't have the same system.
It's FFVII Remake...not Remaster. A Remaster is already happening.
You don't seem to know what fact means...
But your reasoning is wrong. Griever thinks that the decrease in quality in FF games is tied to Sakaguchi's leave and change of battle system. However, Sakaguchi had nothing to do with the battle system. That's why I stress that FF isn't about the gameplay, but the story. Yes, it lost in quality after losing Sakaguchi, but that was only because they lost the best story teller they had. FF stayed turn based up until XIII-2, according to that logic those games should have been well ...
