Staying low level in FFVIII actually makes the game easier, as the monsters level with you and can become a pain in the arse when they have a high level. Crafting and getting cards outside of battle makes much more sense than enemy encounters.
Why even comment then, your comment is completely off topic in that case. This article is about Ni no Kuni 2 which is a sequel to Ni no Kuni: The Wrath of the White Witch. Not about the DS one.
I'm surprised I don't see you in Ni no Kuni 2 articles complaining how they bastardized it into an action game.
"An RPG, at least a JRPG, has to be turn-based."
"Only Ni No Kuni is a JRPG. FFXV is a generic action game."
Now you're making no sense at all. Ni no Kuni wasn't turn based so according to your theory it's not a JRPG but you claim it to be one.
You've repeated the same comment several times, but you never defined what is needed to make a game an RPG. It's an action role playing game but still an RPG. If a game has action and adventure elements you call it action-adventure game, not action game with adventure elements, duh. Same applies here. And:
"Final Fantasy XV (Japanese: ファイナルファンタジーXV Hepburn: Fainaru Fantajī Fifutīn?) is an upcoming action role-playing video game being developed and published by Sq...
FFXV is a JRPG as well.
They should've went with the Rinoa=Ultimecia theory though. That would be an awesome story. Don't know why they outright denied it. Could have at least left it open to interpretation.
It is a misleading title. The article isn't about RPG's not being RPG's, it's about games that don't have a good developed morality system in your opinion. It has nothing to do with RPGs not being RPGs.
This article is kinda stupid.
I agree though. I just wanted to point out that the game wasn't such a big fail in the end after all.
They thought it'd do well because it was a GTA type of game, which are usually popular, but even if I liked the game there were many aspects that needed improvement.
But I know a sequel probably won't happen, unless they sell the rights to another company that would be ready to do it.
Luminous engine isn't even finished yet. It's not even available to other developers. FFXV currently is the only game made in it and they are completing 2 goals by doing so: 1. Release the game made on their new engine to show it's capabilities, 2. using the making of the game as means of testing, improving and finalizing the engine.
Luminous is supposed to be very "user friendly". Once done it's said it will cut down production cost and production ...
Initially the game was a fail. SE expected it to sell 1.75M copies, but right now the sales are at 2.46M.
It took time to reach those sales but obviously the game has a big enough fan base to warrant a sequel.
FFXIII's size was between 50 and 60 gb and it's world and story were significantly shorter than FFVII's. I can see their size argument as plausible.
Are you mentally impaired? I LITERALLY replied to the definition you posted and you go on saying 'none can argue with the definition'? You didn't even read what I wrote, yet you saw that I wrote since you mentioned me, how is that possible?! Here's a tip, it will be very helpful in life - when you converse with people, ACTUALLY listen/read what they say. You're volunteering to be ignorant.
What about Sunday Assembly? So now it's wrong if people meet a...
I think Final Fantasy perfectly fits with the kind of game Nomura wants to make. Again, there is no formula how a FF should be, take the games up to FFX which you like, all are completely different games. And he's not the only one at SE who prefers a more active combat system.
Also as I mentioned in articles before, yes ARPG is an old genre but ARPG games today are nothing like the games 20 years ago. The technical limitations couldn't pull of ARPG games like the one...
Are you like 8 years old? SouthernComfort just replied to you and mentioned some of the things and instead of reading his reply properly you write something ignorant again. You complain about people not properly discussing with you but you're terrible at it, that's why they avoid it.
Yup, you seem like you have an objective opinion. No hater alarm at all./s
Why do you loath him?
The article is about the leveling system...not the battle system.
Yeah but it's not the same. Kill Yevon as final boss, no one bats an eye, kill Jehovah or Allah as final boss, people would lose their minds.
@Gasian
And it's the fans' fault. He made FF:Spirits Within but it was a huge fail because fans alienated him as apparently fans know better what a FF movie is supposed to look like than the father of FF himself. Had the fans supported his work the movie wouldn't have lost SE 94M $ and he would have never lost his position.
