@NovaCorps
Lightning Returns doesn't even have an auto-attack option. If you didn't play the game and want to troll, at least get the basic info about it.
It would be still turn-based. People who don't like turn-based won't play it, no matter how much you flash it out. People who like action play it for its speed and skills you need (even if you're biased and believe no skill is needed), e.g. DMC3, where you needed to make use of only a few frames between two movements to execute a command.
If I made an action game that, after you defeat an enemy, it shows how you depleted it's hp turn by turn, would you play it...
There's nothing wrong with an open world. How it's implemented is the problem. Make an open world game that offers many side quests and optional content, but make it also possible to simply follow the story through the world like you would do in a linear game. Both types of gamers would have their share then.
@Hammad
you're comparing pears with apples but well, you wouldn't invest into a car or tv without informing yourself about it and searching for user reviews prior to buying them, right?
Same goes for games, people who buy games day 1 are irrational and shouldn't be surprised when others aren't in the mood to listen to their whining. Wait until other gamers have reviewed it, if it's good then buy it. If you buy day 1 and get a crappy produ...
It's because social media gives a voice to everyone. You can pretend that you weren't whiny when you were young, but we all were, almost every child is. You didn't have the clarity of mind back then that you have now.
Most grown-up gamers aren't the complaining type, at least from my experience. But because social media gives everyone the opportunity to voice their opinion we have a lot of children leaving whiny comments and complaining. They'll grow out ...
So handsome characters can't be good characters?
So info about the game has been out for almost a decade, since it was versus XIII it was said to be dark with a story similar to Shakespeare's Hamlet. And NOW your hype is down cause you find out it might be sad?
The Last Remnant isn't really a good example of a well made RPG with a good battle system.
I thought you hated auto-play? In The Last Remnant you can't select commands for individual characters, just for a group of them and then the game decides what exactly they'll do.
That's if they keep it interesting. So far the planets shown haven't been really that much intriguing. And the animals aren't very innovative as well.
Why have all of them evolved a similar way like real animals have? They could have been very original and innovative there.
I've asked you once the same question and you didn't reply, jambola asked it as well. Now I'm asking a second time, show me one old action game that has the combat gameplay of FFXV.
You're ignoring this cause you know you can't do it, which would prove your point to be inaccurate.
@EeJLP
doesn't mean it has to die. Just means you don't like it. There are some people who enjoy all the AC games.
Yes! Let them shut us up!
@t-hall785
If you don't like the Japanese art style, which usually features big boobs and butts for females, why do you play Japanese games?
Find another fighting game that suits your wishes. Also, as many have said it's a mod. And having sex doesn't have anything to do with someone's wish for female bodies. You try to make others look sad but the one to pity is you.
In the article's defense, they could be more innovative with new titles...it boils down to the same story and gameplay...and since the 3rd generation the Pokemon designs have been rather...stupid.
In the FF universe that would be racist xD
I liked it. It was a refreshing new type of grinding after the previous games.
I'm not sure you played the previous games correctly if that gameplay was blast to you.
Are you describing your own personality? That would be on-point then, yes.
I said narrow-sighted, not narrow-minded. Learn to read.
Not all people are so narrow-sighted when it comes to genres they love. I know many people who enjoy Final Fantasy and Metal Gear and Tomb Raider.
@martinnatalex
It's okay to have a biased opinion but don't try and make up stupid arguments to defend it. It just makes you look ridiculous.
