Certainly an interesting trophy list that seems to offer a fair amount of replayablity.
The E-Mail clearly says "some," which simply means a small percent of games will be cut to $1.99, not that 4-hour rentals will universally be $1.99.
@ Vishmarx
Gundam Reborn is something of a special case. It was announced around September 9, 2013 ( http://www.siliconera.com/2... ) and released 3 months and 10 days after that. You can also read things like the wiki here ( http://gundam.wikia.com/wik... ) ...

Someone can remain anonymous, but when EVERYTHING is anonymous it raises flags, especially when you don't even reveal where the quote came from. Heck, you mentioned above said source was reliable, thus they logically leaked / revealed other stuff that you could have sourced.
You could have easily said "For a while people have been waiting for Bungie to reveal a PC version of Destiny and according to our sources, it might not be much long...
I take it you don't like Musou games, since the anime ones (Kaizoku, Hokuto, Gundam) all got near the same amount of coverage / interest.
Not shocking. It took God Eater 2 roughly 6 months between the announcement of online and implementation. Lets just hope it comes sooner than later and the Western version has it by default.
Smart money says the author or someone on Steam First made it up. It reads in a way that is obviously intended to invoke reaction (like noting the console version is a beta) and not how typical insider information reads. If it was a legitimate quote it would be far more vague and most likely have more information on the situation than the game itself.
"The 4 hour option is what makes it seem the most like a rip-off to me. Almost any price you ask for that option will seem too much, and the prices there now definitely aren't low for only 4 hours."
Thats sort of the point. The idea is to make the other times look like a great value by comparison. I assume the main reason why Sony doesn't do a day instead of 4-hours is that many people could actually get their fill / beat it in a 24 hour window and it would ...
"Who cares that you can rent games at other places. They arent the ssme thing as red box or any other rental place. Its a streeming service."
To do well in any field you need to remain competitive regardless of how innovating / unique your product is. For PS Now to be successful, it needs to offer more than convenience, since innovation is great, but there is no motivation if better deals can be had elsewhere.
"How cheap do you expect publish...
I couldn't disagree more. I don't normally like to use popular lingo, but this article feels exactly like I imagine an "apologist" post / article to look like. For starters, the starting price is actually pretty terrible. Even if we were to assume $2.99 is the lowest for all 4 hour rentals, I am 99.99% sure Family Video charges the same for a 1 night rental. Since they go off nights, you technically have 2 days to play the game and you can enjoy it from opening (10 AM) to cl...
"Also the whole PvP has the same number of teams Titanfall did. Which if I am not mistaken set this and other websites on mad fuel fire. And yet this game gets a pass?"
For one thing, TItanfall doesn't have single player and is completely dependent on strong pvp to sell (unlike Destiny). Titanfall also had a lot of bots and worthless things going on in the background, which some people mistook for larger numbers than were actually available and thus problems cam...
Hard to say.
On one hand, I would love Rayman and maybe it would get people to actually play Rayman Legends, which has not gotten a fair shake (even going so far as some sites mentioning it was sad Rayman Legends was the best game of 2014 so far -.-). On the other more logical hand, I suspect this was just a slip of the tongue and nothing more. He was most likely thinking of what had been announced and what had not been announced and for whatever reason decided to go with Ra...
"Indie gaming is cool but and independent studio could never have made The Last of Us."
While it goes without saying a small studio will lack the experience, talent and money required to make a game this complex and well made, it also doesn't mean said gamer cares about these things.
For sake of argument, just check out what kind of games are currently dominating the PS4 chart on Metacritic. It isn't extremely high profile, big budget extre...
"I also think the idea of cross buy is a little difficult to implement when a game releases a year before the other version."
Not if only digital purchases get upgraded like just about every other title on the PSN.
"Where does Sony draw the line."
Sony has offered Cross-Buy on older titles than a year. Dead Nation got it 3 and a half or so years after release, WipEout HD did it with the 2048 DLC like 3 years after release ...
"i wish they would come out and say what the level cap is"
From what I understand, the level cap is 20, but you can go to 30/31 with Motes of Light on your equipment.
Depends the logic and how much weight said logic has. A great example of this is Joystiq's review of 1001 Spikes, since the reviewer put a lot of weight / importance on some very mild annoyances, which in turn made the 3/5 (meaning its appeal is limited to those that like the genre and can overlook its problems) seem baffling.

"All of this is your speculative opinion and your speculative opinion concerns you? Ego much?"
Speculation can be good and sometimes asking questions reveals information you might have thought was a given, but turns out to be untrue. For instance, I figured there would be matchmaking for raids, since there was matchmaking for Strikes in the beta. This was a logical assumption and one I would have bought the game assuming. However, we later learned that is not the ca...
I know for a fact they found an image when the website released, but I can't find that article to see if they noticed more to report this one and really don't care to be vindictive enough to spend more than 5 minutes looking for it.
Or you could just buy digital PSN cards and avoid that problem altogether...
Funny. I've seen like 5 different stores have Ultra SF IV out on the floor and I didn't even realize it wasn't "technically" out retail side.
