"It dosent matter where you go in a fight, enemies will find you most of the time."
Depends on a lot of factors, but it's certainly possible in many locations.
"Plus checking stats is a pretty much given if you need to see what gin is right for you "
I can't speak for everyone, but how many guns do you keep on your person and how much thinking do you really need to do? Like do you sit there and need to think if fir...
I'm probably going to get a bunch of disagrees for this, but...
" they will never be able to fix...I keep going to pause during fights and forget its online. Even changing equipment during fights...its annoying"
This is one of those situations where you need to do some problem solving. For instance, why wouldn't you hide out in the first place? I've yet to have this problem hiding out somewhere and can't imagine this would be a probl...
I read articles like this and I am simply baffled by how people seem to remember Club Nintendo as this great and amazing thing when it NEVER was. Way back when the program launched the big ticket items were a starman messenger bag, mushroom tote bag, Game & Watch DS games and weird miscellaneous items like the various DS card holder, Wiimote holder and Mario hat bookend thingy. The really funny thing isn't just that people typically remember two of the original platinum rewards and se...
"However, even though many YouTube personalities are independent, they are still motivated by hits "
You have to keep in mind that YouTube doesn't have (as far as I'm aware anyway) any method to distribute your stuff for hits like N4G. This results in less inflammatory headlines / video casts / whatever you want to call them. Like, I can't imagine some no name YouTuber would get 1,000 views on a video about how The Last of Us is a shameless cash grab, bu...
While I can't comment on the current situation, back in the day Disney pin trading was pretty big and something like this might be quite sought after (especially given the lack of KH pins). Lets also not forget that it's a free bonus and better than the standard "have something digital" that most games go for.
Like the article mentioned, this really is all about fanning the flames of hate, probably because anger is one of the simplest and strongest emotions out there. To give you an idea, look at how the bubble system works on N4G. If you want to gain a bubble, it's probably going to take you hundreds of posts / comments before you cobble together the right words in the right situation to get the right response. Now if you want to lose bubbles, you can get down to 1 in a day if you make enough ...
"But it is hard to gauge total game sales from something this limited in the first place."
I wouldn't use the Ghost edition as a gauge of anything. From the moment the edition sold out on Amazon, all I hear people talk* about how rare the edition will be. It's getting so out of hand that you have to assume paranoid fans and flippers are artificially inflating the rarity.
For instance, I saw a number of posts on CAG indicating people preorde...
"Game and wario is rarely talked about but it utilizes the gamepad well especially with groups of people. "
I feel the same way about Nintendoland. When I got to play it at E3 they had Luigi's Mansion / Sweets Day available for play and forced people to play in groups of 4. I think Nintendo got that Sweets Day was a solid game, since they made every person play 4 games (this was so everyone got a shot at the gamepad role) and it was crazy how much more enjoyable...
While Nintendo could certainly release a Wii U without the gamepad, I also feel like that would be a step back for the Wii U. In its current form, my favorite feature is the offscreen play and I don't think I am in the minority saying that. I like having a controller that I can effortless control my TV, play without having the input on my Wii U and has, well I don't know how to phrase it in a way that wouldn't make the Vita look bad, but I tend to have a better experience* with th...
And... there goes my week.
Welcome to life where everyone doesn't agree with everything you say. With this being said, this is hardly unique to being a game journalist or even gaming in general and is only a problem if you let it be a problem. Furthermore, I get the distinct impression that you're relying way too much on implied ideas and hyperbole to make your point about "reality" for game journalists.
Like, did they really say you "hate Nintendo" in reference to you compl...
"Me and many others still refuse to buy it due to the lack of English VA."
Thats one sad reason not to buy a game. Especially one that by all accounts seems very gameplay driven / heavy.
"That alone will hinder sales"
I assume the lack of marketing (I can't see this getting much marketing, as SS got next to nothing), the fact it's like Monster Hunter and those tend to do bad in the West, supposed extreme difficulty...
I guess that confirms these games won't be Plus titles next month. With that being said, I am very tempted by Counterspy, but can't say any of the other titles interest me.
How can you make that statement when 5/10 of todays hottest articles are TLOU related and 4/10 of the weeks hottest articles are TLOU related with only 1/10 being Destiny and again 1/10 being Destiny? I mean, the beta is helping, but this has WAY more to do with the Summer having next to nothing going on and sites pandering to the masses for any views than amazing marketing.
"She didn't know anything about this."
To be fair, there are a good number of employees (be it manager or lower) that don't even know what deals they're currently offering, much less know of future deals. Like I went to Walmart the other day to do a game trade in and went to customer service to ask where would I go to do that. The manager over there claimed Walmart didn't do game trade ins (ignoring the fact that the store did do them, have been doin...
Ignoring how much of this article is based off the author not getting the appeal and assuming that CEs only interest "super fans" and "rich kids," I still fail to see the point.
Right now Destiny's Ghost edition has assumed low supply and high demand, so it's a "wise" investment and instant collectors value. This naturally creates more artificial demand, since collectors are buying it because of its rarity and flippers are buying it for ...
No duh? Not only have people been saying this since it was announced and this is true more often than not for any GOTY / DLC rerelease / whatever you want to call it that has ever released.
Like the DLC alone in Injustice costs more than the original MSRP of the Ultimate edition of Injustice, just like it's cheaper to buy the GOTY edition of Borderlands 2 at MSRP than get the game via Plus and buy all the DLC separately. So yeah... not seeing the surprise or shock at this...
"It's more to do with the notion of that people are treating the as demos rather than betas e.g. not giving feedback, reporting bugs or broke mechanics. "
There are different types of betas too. Some of them, like I suspect Destiny (and to a degree the "alpha" too) are simply to test the network or other aspects (like the Destiny stuff on the official site) in a less controlled environment. You can usually tell the difference by how much focus they put...
I don't see the problem with betas being a "pre-order" incentive. For starters, you don't need to actually fulfill your preorder to get in the beta and something isn't being removed, so it doesn't hurt. The beta also gives you an idea if the order is worth holding, so in some ways (ignoring word of mouth and such) can only have a negative impact on sales, since at best you're keeping your order and at worst you cancel / numbers drop. It's also a better incent...
"I wonder why they removed a lot of rewards. I was saving up coins for a T-shirt and now it's gone! "
They really didn't remove anything per se. Nintendo has ALWAYS been slow to restock rewards and rewards always run dry at the end of the year. You can see what I am talking about with the 3DS game case
